Yootha Joyce
Yootha Joyce was born on August 20, 1927 in Wandsworth, London as Yootha Needham.

Yootha's first screen appearance was in the TV show Impasse in 1963.

This was followed by numerous roles in films and TV shows like Benny Hill, Z Cars, Frankie Howard, Steptoe And Son, The Saint, George And The Dragon and Dixon Of Dock Green.

Then she was cast in her most famous role of Mildred Roper in Man About The House and the spin off George And Mildred.

Her final appearance was in the feature film version of George And Mildred in 1980.

She married Glynn Edwards in 1956 but they divorced in 1968.

She died on 24th August 1980, from hepatitis.

She was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium in London and her ashes were scattered in Section 3-P.
