Brian's first screen appearance was in The Avengers in 1962.
He has appeared in numerous TV shows since including Z Cars, Dixon Of Dock Green, Butterflies, Boon, One Foot In The Grave, Brookside, Casualty and The Bill.
More recently he�s been seen in The Booze Cruise and Last Of The Summer Wine.
But it is the role of George Roper in Man About The House and George And Mildred that he is best known for.
Previously married to Carol they have two sons, Trevor and Kevin. Brian and Carol have also fostered a number of children.
He married actress Linda Regan on the 14 March 1993.
