After a short break it was straight back to gaming. Well, maybe the break
turned out to be longer than expected. Truth is i saw the enormity of the
game and scrapped the idea. It was only at the start of this year that my
brother was cleaning out his hard drive and got to playing the game again.
The passion was re-kindled and the game was dusted off ready for the year
2002. The game using the new AGS engine 2.2, removed most of the bugs that
made me scrap the design in the first place and also gave me a lot of neat
new features. From the start of this year we've created 5 brand new rooms
added 3 new players, soem more inventory items and hours of humerous dialog.
Seeing as this website was last on the list it's not until now that i've had
a chance to update it. Plus i'm looking for work so hopefully some prospective
game employers may look at this game website and think, "There's a shade of
blue you don't see everyday", but even better would be "This boy might be
onto something here, lets get him to do some data entry for that new role
playing game we're making", and the rest will be history.

Made sine minor modifications to backgrounds, created doors, hotspots
and walkable areas for some rooms.

Fixed all the bugs in my program, life is good again. It was a simple
syntactical error not picked up by the compiler
imagine that. Anyway, personalised the second room a little today, i
wish i didn't add so many hotspots.
Sunday 30th, July, 2000
Had a lot of trouble with AGS today, problems with interface, rooms,
speed of animation, it was a frustrating day
i was ready to give it all away. Was i being to ambitious with what i
wanted to do?
Saturday 29th, July, 2000
Today i've done my biggest animation yet, 34 frames! I thought my plans
for the start of the game were a bit
ambitious, but i decided to press on anyway, and several hours later i
had my start animation (not intro though).
I also created the first room, and put some sounds in. I looked for a
way to put my own sounds in but because i don't
have any sound generation or creation software i'll just have to use
what i can find.

Very productive day today, fixed up some animations, and stuff. Just
little things really, but no less important than
the big things.
Thursday 27th, July, 2000
Had a good day Adventure Creating today. The trains were all stuffed up
on my line because of a
derailment yesterday and i got fed up waiting so i decided not to go to
uni, but to stay at home
instead and work on my game, much more productive. Oh yeah, it was my
good for nothing, never do
any work on the adventure game, brother's birthday today, i got him a
book about farts for $5.95 (bargain).
Okay, well anyway, i finally ended up creating alistairs room, and
animated him doing a few things
i'll probably work on it more tomorrow instead of doing uni work
because this is more fun.
Also today i emailed 2DAdventure.com to see
if i could get off xoom (no offence to xoom) and onto their site. I
await their reply.

Updated all my rooms for about the 1000th time, the way i'm going i
might have a demo out for christmas.

and Alistair, created some
of the house rooms, bugged Alistair to help with the game. Found AGS,
renewed dreams, pondered meaning
of life, played the monkey island series again...
