The area
This popular tourist area is one of the most attractive in Scotland.

Balmaha is located within the Loch Lomond National Scenic Area and near to the LOCH LOMOND NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE.   In July 2002 the area became part of  Scotland's first
NATIONAL PARK (the second largest National Park in the UK).

The
MILLENNIUM FOREST CENTRE is 2 miles to the north at Cashel.

Visitor facilities are on hand in BALMAHA and at MILARROCHY BAY, 1 mile to the north.

THE WEST HIGHLAND WAY passes to the rear of Montrose House with access to
CONIC HILL from which there are magnificent views over Loch Lomond and beyond.
BEN LOMOND 7 miles (11 km) 

The Oak Tree Restaurant, the yacht marina and the Visitor Centre are in Balmaha village.

The village of Drymen is 3.3 miles (5.4 kilometers) distant and has a small supermarket, restaurant and  "take away" food.    Intercity railway stations at Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow
