Petitions

I've been a DVD nut even before I got a player. But now that I've got one, I'm really greedy for the studios to take advantage of the format. I'll have to check the other movies Mark's made, but below are my thoughts. The people in charge of the departments change A LOT so double check before writting a letter to someone who no longer works there. As usual, people tend to give letters more priority than e-mails.

Dear Mr. Johnson:

I would like to suggest you add to the next batch of DVD transfers, Renaissance Man. The movie was very in keeping of the Disney brand, educational entertainment. In addition to the story, we have a great cast and crew. Below are some of the extras I believe would enhance the viewing experience.

Renaissance Man
- Penny Marshall commentry
- Trailer
- Interview with actors
- Boot camp footage
- Shakespeare the 'Double-D' way

Dear Mr. Lieberfarb:

Thank you for the release of Rock Star on DVD last month. It was a very good transfer and the sound was near perfect. However, I believe in the future a platnium edition of this film would be in your interest. As you may have noticed 2001 was a good year for music driven movies, with Fox's Moulin Rouge and New Line's Hedwig & the Angry Inch. Despite the less than glamourous box office, I believe many will discover this gem in video and DVD.

From the great commentry from Stephen Herek, I believe you have some material that could be added, such as:

- Deleted Scenes
- Outtakes
- Blood Pollution's video
- MTV's Making of
- Behind the scenes
- Interviews with actors/musicans

Can I just say I love New Line! They do a wonderful job of cramming their dvds with good substantial extras. Wouldn't hurt to say you love the Boogie Nights and The Corruptor Platnium Editions. My only complaint is I have problems with the snapper cases they (and parent company WB) use - very flimsy. Positive feedback only helps you, by having them keep thier quality high. Thus forcing others to keep up!
