Lambda Theta Alpha and all of its chapters believe in "scholarly excellence, empowerment of Latinas and the universal woman, cultural and political awareness, and community activism". The chapter prides itself in upholding this mission and one way we do this is by participating in various community events both in surrounding cities as well as the LMU community.
Some activities we partake
include tutoring underprivileged at risk-youths, hosting educational
programs, feeding the homeless, alcohol and drug awareness programs, women's health seminars, self-defense classes, adopting part of the beach through Heal the Bay and raising funds for AIDS Walk LA. |
