Our Proposed Plans
The footings have been laid in preparation for the extension. This building was constructed with a grant from the Coalfields Regeneration Social Enterprise Trust.

We now own approximately 23 acres of land. Fencing now covers a further mile, which is due to be cleared by the army for track laying early next year.

A tramway block was found during clearance of the site which will now be kept at the heritage centre (See above) .

Planning permission has been granted for a larger heritage centre to cost in the region of 500k to be constructed within the next 5 years.

Our Avonside 0-4-0 Saddle Tank No. 1498 Desmond has been moved from Llanelli to the Llangollen Railway. An application has been made to the heritage lottery fund for its complete restoration.
