Key Achievements to Date
Signed a deed of agreement in 2000 with Carmarthenshire County Council and Sustrans (The National Cycle charity who have constructed a cycle way along the former track bed) for the support of the project.

Completed a feasibility study prepared by WS Atkins consultants Ltd.

Secured planning permission for change of use, track laying and erection of a dual purpose locomotive shed/heritage centre and new entrance.

Acquired initial rolling stock including a two car Class 117 diesel multiple unit (DMU), a spare class 107 DMU  vehicle, a Sentinel diesel shunter, a North British diesel shunter, a tank wagon and an Avonside 0-4-0 saddle tank steam engine (�Desmond�) all currently stored by kind permission of D.S.D.C. Llangennech, Near Llanelli.

Acquired two wooden 1880�s built passenger carriages for long term restoration.

Purchased approx. 12 acres of land for our operating base and one mile of running line.

Commenced infrastructure work on site such as fencing, levelling and draining and the construction of a 100 metre x 20 metre wild life pond.
