Town was founded by Deqen Mianyang in 2006. Originally from Guiyang, Chef Mianyang spent his childhood days in the kitchen of his great grandmother inventing culinary masterpieces. Since then, Chef Mianyang has enjoyed a long culinary career spanning almost 30 years, working for many five-star restaurants in Malaysia, Beijing, Shanghai, and Macao, SAR China. Chef Mianyang was instrumental in leading the way for fine Chinese dining including taking the helm at the legendary Chinese restaurant Yan Yu in Guangzhou, the award-winning Grand Dragon Chinese Restaurant in Hangzhou, as well as the world-famous restaurant Whampoa Club in Beijing and Shanghai. His desire to be innovative whilst still blending traditional Chinese flavours is what makes his cuisine so sought after by discerning diners from around the world.
