In a mystical ceremony, Max and Luna were married.

Alex kept a �boy toy� in the form of Luna�s kid brother, Ty Moody. At the same time, she also launched a campaign to woo Llanview�s crotchety billionaire oil baron, Asa Buchanan. Though Asa initially resisted Alex�s obvious ploys, she eventually won him over when she agreed to help him get Max and Luna to sell the oil-rich land.

The �ghost� of Luna's dead husband Bobby urged her not to marry Max or he would end up like him�dead. Luna freaked and ran off before the big day. Max followed her, vanquished the ghost, and after some convincing, Luna agreed to return to Llanview. Luna became the new �Mrs. Max Holden� in a unique and spiritual wedding.

While in bed with Dorian, Jason Webb found a lump in Dorian's breast. At first, an unnerved Dorian tried to ignore the lump. After coaxing from Cassie, Dorian had herself checked out and was mortified to learn that the lump was cancerous. Diagnosed with breast cancer, Dorian sought the necessary treatment and was fortunate enough to have caught it early and soon went into full remission.

After the cancer scare, Dorian read an advance edition of Sloan Carpenter�s comprehensive biography of her late husband, Victor Lord. In the book, Sloan alluded to the long hinted legend that Dorian may have been responsible for Victor�s passing back in 1976. Sloan�s allegations relit the old rumors of Dorian killing Victor, and once again she found herself being whispered about around town. A now pregnant Cassie, meanwhile, was so shaken by the possibility that she couldn�t help but pull away from her mother. Seething with rage, Dorian wasted no time in firing back. She persuaded a young and impressionable coed, Emily Haynes, to file sexual harassment charges against Sloan, the new dean of Llanview University. It was not long before Dorian�s scheme was exposed and Sloan was exonerated. Once again, Dorian had become the most hated woman in Llanview.
