Llan Rads 3 Kidwelly 1

The 2nd team welcomed Kidwely to Penygaer on a glorious Saturday afternoon. Kidwely came to Penygaer with a 100% record which gave us a recipe for a fine game. We were not disappointed as the field boasted no less than ten16yr olds and we were off to a brisk start with Llan Rads netting after some slick passing and Darren(The Daz) Bonnell netting. The game settled down quickly with both teams using all of the wide pitch 4 for some good passing moves and the game was developing from one end to the other.
Kidwely equalised after a strike from a free kick found itself in the top corner of the Rads’s net.

As the game went on the Rads started to put the squeeze on and some more fine movement off the ball and hard work from the Rads youngsters put them back into the lead.

As the game went on, the Rads solid defence(controlled by Lee Tom) frustrated Kidwely by giving nothing away and the strong performances by the midfield quartet gave the front men many opportunities for netting more. To cap it all fine move from goalkeeper Dunks through to Rob Bowen up to midfield with Matthew Lel on to wide man Chris Davies and driven across for The Daz man to net his 3rd.
