A Bit of Club History:

The club was formed in
1986 by a small band of parents ably led by Mr. Graham James. The
initial team was named Nuffield Rangers at U10’s and later a
further team was established at U12’s.
In 1987 the then Llanelli
Radiators factory granted the club permission to use the ground facility
within the works which assisted the children with both training and
playing as well as recognition of a home base. The club was then re-named
Llanelli Radiators F. C. and entered an U12 team in the Carmarthenshire
Junior League in 1989/90 season.
Between 1989 and 1994 the
club entered junior teams in all age groups within the Carmarthenshire
Junior League. At the end of 1993 season the Welsh F. A. decided to
abolish 11 a side football at Under10 football and a year later abolish
Under 11’s teams from playing 11 a side football. Mini football
was then introduced to replace 11 v 11 teams at these levels. Since
the change the club introduced U8 U9 and U10 teams to play mini football.In
1994 the club yet again changed its name to Calsonic Juniors due to
the re-naming of the factory. In
2000/2001 season a senior team was formed with yet a new name Llanelli
Radicals A.F.C. In 2002/2003 season a reserve team was established.
The junior teams were introduced under the new name at both U12 and
U14 level.
