Portfolio: Uni Work: Final Project

The title of this project was 'How Successful is Multimedia at Teaching Practical Skills to Adult Learners.'

The application developed was to teach camping skills to adult leaders within GirlGuiding UK. It was built with Flash.

I don't have enough web space to upload the whole application (until I get some more space) as it is has a lot of photos, sound files and videos so is quite big.

The main menu was designed to look like a campsite to emerce the user into the application. Users can move to the various areas of the application by selecting the objects, for example, the tent opens the tent section and the fire opens the campfire section.

The instruction screens used as a variety of different media types, for example, the tent instruction page contains text, images and sound. It also contains pdf doucments for download. The top menu (the rope) is a drop down menu allowing the user to move between different parts of each section. For example tent pages, erecting a tent, lucking after a tent and testing yourself.

The application also contains a selection of test and simulations allowoing the user to identify there progress and get feedback on how they do.
