December 22 - Wow, it's almost CHRISTMAS!!  I am so excited to be in Philadelphia with my very awesome brother and sister, and my parents, eating my grandma's unbelievable italian cooking.  Sara and I are having dinner with Cool Chris S tonight - then I'm meeting up with The Ultimate Roommate Guery Jones and the one and only JONDAPIMP SNIZOW!!  He's in town and just last night I was talking about how it's been YEARS since I've seen Jonathan.  Ha.  So anyhow, I'm jam-packing these last few hours I'll be in the ATL.  This morning I went to the Buckhead Weight Watcher's center to try to make it to a meeting, but I was misinformed and there was no meeting.  I was hoping to get to one before leaving for philly, but now maybe I can just go to one tomorrow night up there.  CAN WE SAY DEDICATION?  Well Tanya, Jana and Rhiannon will definitely be in FL for New Year's.  I'm so excited.  We'll go to DISNEY, so much fun, and I really want to go to the Dali Museum, too - Tanya will love that (as does everyone who goes, but she's a big fan of his work, too).   I don't know if we'll get to that or not.  Hm.  Anyhow, I'm looking forward to some great holiday time.  I can't wait to see all my little cousins - especially LIAM since he's a ROWER!!!  Oh, one more thing, I heard from my favorite rowing coach, Niko... and he and Pia are expecting a baby in March!  They are out in Oregon but might be heading this way, now that Niko is Dr. Niko he might take a job at Tech.  Interesting, and so wonderful to hear from him.   Life is so so so good right now.  Have a very Merry Christmas, everyone.

December 16 -
I am reading The Agony and The Ecstasy by Irving Stone, it is a biographical novel of Michelangelo's life, and if you can be in love with a book, I'm totally head over heels SMITTEN with this book.  It is consuming me, which is particularly bad timing because I am so busy and have eight million things to do - I shouldn't even be on the computer right now but if I don't write something now, I never will.  So I had breakfast with Sarah Hoke this morning, and she wants to move out to Washington in 2 years.  I may not make it that long, Jana may be going to Portland soon and if Man Pretty Dan Pretty goes, well that's another thing to get me going.  And I've got other reasons for going.  Stephen was 'let go' the other day.  Quite interesting.  He and Morton were absolutely not on the same page.  Such is life.  I am 28 months away from being debt free.  I am 19 weeks away from being at my goal weight.  I am totally loving the fact that I'm about to go to Philly for Christmas and see EVERYONE.  New Year's just got way more fun, my friend Tanyarita is flying to Florida to come hang out!  This weekend Tina and Hetal are coming to see me, it's Sara's birthday (she is as old as dirt!) and it's just going to be a really awesome weekend.  And now I've got to get to doing what I'm supposed to be doing - I took today off work to catch up on everything, and this is all the break time I've got!  Oh - totally random - went to church the other night, first time I've been at the 5:30 mass in a while - ran into my friend Conor.  Didn't get a whole lot out of mass, and was telling God this as I was walking out of his house, when he planted an old friend in front of me to remind me that even if I missed the message, I get something out of everything I do.  Ha.  Happy Christmas shopping, all.

December 9 -
Second attempt at journaling today - this is how my whole week is going, too much stuff to do, not enough time to do in it.  So I had lunch w/ Stephen and it looks like things here at Morton's are going to continue on as they have been, for the most part.  Hm.  Well, I'm in a very good position in my life where if my job is a means to an end, that's OK.  And that's what's up right now.  But it makes me sad b/c I was excited about the prospect of being ABLE to be a big part of a small firm... now I'll just keep going as a small part of one, and keep going w/ my law school research.  I am looking at U of Washington (dream school at the moment), U of Colorado @ Denver (they accept lots like me and I could live there again), Georgia State (90% of students pass the bar the first attempt, and it's local), Stetson ($$$) in St. Petersburg (near home).  I am checking out more places but so far, those are tops.  Everything west is for location.  Anyhow enough of that crap, won't even apply for another year so let's move on to something else.  Like our night out line dancing at Wild Bill's.  That place is pretty damn cool and the Fab Five (me, kelley A, rhiannon, sara and jana) had a great time drinking and people watching.  None of us were brave enough to attempt the mechanical bull, but the next time, when everyone's around, well who knows what could happen.  Hung out with Cyrus last night, tried to get gelato at Paolo's (THE BEST STUFF EVAR!!) but much to our chagrin, it is CLOSED on Mon, Tues, and Wed. nights during the winter.  :(  We settled for Jake's.  MMMMM, Chocolate Slap Yo' Mama ice cream, who can turn that down?  A very good second to the hazelnut gelato I was hoping for.  Tomorrow night is Amanda's Christmas party for the girls.  Yea!

December 3 -
I'm feeling remarkably career-centric today.  I signed up to attend a holiday mixer for marketing professionals - not that I am one, but I could be someday.  It will be good to meet people, regardless and it looks pretty entertaining.  So this is the new Holiday Color Scheme.  My attempt to be festive.  Anyhows. Thanksgiving in FL was fantastic!  Alice and I drove down on Wednesday - the normally 7.5 hour drive took almost 10, thanks to the rain and all the other cars on the road!  But we got in on Wednesday night.  I don't remember the days, it all ran together.  But I did play quite the mean games of horseshoes - Scott and I were on the same team and I had the ringer run of my LIFE.  Dan was getting tired of losing, which is probably part of the reason he CHEATED SO BADLY at Trivial Pursuit later on that night!  Dad's horseshoe pit is awesome.  I got a lot of hangout time with Tina and Hetal.  Tina's husband had a little bit of an incident on Thanksgiving but he has a good lawyer, so it's not much to worry about.  I had a great time shopping all weekend and eating ice cream with the girls.  Oh but check me out, despite Thanksgiving dinner, our BlueBell Ice Cream Bonanza, etc, I managed to lose a pound last week!  Very cool.  (Yes, I am also starting to think I'm obsessed with my weight loss, but I want to get rid of these last 19 pounds and be done with it forever, so until then I'm going to keep talking about it.)  Things here in Atlanta have been great this week.   I have a crazy social calendar for the next week but we all know that's the way I like it.  :)  Trying out Figo over on Howell Mill this evening... I can't wait, I've heard such good things!  Oh yeah, I bought myself a Christmas present... a PLANE TICKET TO COLORADO!  I'm going skiing in January for a weekend... one day is better than NO days.  Still planning on doing the Whistler Trip with Chris Stephens and crew in March, that should be REALLY fun.  But I have no idea what's going on with my life.  I mean, It's interesting to have all these little paths that I could possibly go down for the rest of my life (career at Morton's, Law school, moving out west, boys, etc.), but I'm finding it frustrating not to know which ones I'll be able to take.   But for the most part, I'm enjoying the road I'm on.

November 30 -
I have no idea what to do with my life!   I KNOW the universe is unfolding exactly as it should but a LITTLE guidance wouldn't be such a bad thing, now would it????

November 23 - Absolutely nothing to do here at work so I think after I write this little entry, I'll head home!  Things are good in Liz Land.  I'm all sorts of excited to head down to FL tomorrow morning with Alice.  I can't wait to see everyone... I feel like it's been ages!  I miss my mom and my brother a LOT.  I miss everyone down there and tomorrow, I won't have to.  :)  I want to do a looooooooooooooooong ride on Thursday morning all over the place.  And of course participate in the Hildick Horseshoe Classic.  Rumor has it that Dad and Tom actually built a regulation pit.  It will be so great to see Joan, I wish Bud and Bernice were going to be around but I'll see them over Christmas.  Alice and I are planning on outlet shopping on Friday, oh yeah!  We like the crowds - once a year.  I hope Hetal comes, too.  I love Thanksgiving.  Tonight I'm going to Doc Chey's with Jana, Al, and SARA!!  I thought Sara was gone!  Jana's birthday is Friday.  Can't wait to hang out with her.  I'm spoiled this week, both Alice and Jana are in town.  It's so great!  I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.  :)
