Ringo didn't feature heavily in The Beatles songwriting process. He received only partial songwriting credits on some album tracks. 'Octopus's Garden' was his only solo song-writing credit. He sang on a few songs also 'Yellow Submarine' and 'A Little Help From My Friends' being the most notable. Ringo built a reputation of being a very consistent and talented percussionist. He was a very important and vastly underrated member of The Beatles. Post Beatles Career: Ringo reached number 2 of the UK Singles chart with 'Back Off Boogaloo' in 1972. He had 4 UK top 10 hits. They had three children together; Zak (born 13/09/1965), Jason (born 19/08/1967) and Lee Parkin (born 11/11/1970). Ringo and Maureen divorced in 1975 but remained friends up until she lost her battle with cancer on 30/12/1994. In 1977 Ringo began dating actress Barbara Bach, who starred in the Bond movie 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. Barbara and Ringo married on 27/04/1981. George and Paul were present at the wedding.
