| Which leads up to the way in which he came to adopt Lulu Naismith. One day Andrew stopped in where Lulu lived to see why the child was not attending school. The Naismiths were a very poor family with many children and could not clothe and send their daughter to school, besides, they could use Lulu's help at home with the younger children. Andrew could see that she was a bright little thing and offered to take her to school, they in turned asked if he would like to adopt her. Andrew hated to see an intelligent mind going to waste. That was the type of man he was. |
