What about Weekend and half week Rentals?

We prefer weekly rentals, but a weekend or mid-week rental is always considered--esp close to the date. In general we take partial week rentals 10-14 days before that time slot, but you never know--- so don't hesitate to ask!  Third night check-out time would be before 12 noon, unless it is a holiday weekend, which would be til 4 p.m.   Mid-week rentals are like weekends with minimum of 2 nights @ weekend price & extra nights as quoted.   In the fall, weekend rentals are the norm!  It's a good time for a mini vacation, and also a good way to check out the area, for a possible weekly stay during the summer.
We're sorry, but we have a NO PETS policy.
We do not book 1-night stays.
The cottages are Smoke Free. We thank you for not smoking inside them.
No tents, trailers, RV's, or large parties.
Reservations require a fifty percent down payment.
Your deposit is confirmed in writing upon receiving your check.

Balance due thirty days in advance, and a separate check of $200 per cottage damage/cleaning deposit is also due at this time.  Due to the short rental season, refunds  due to cancellation will be returned when the unit is re-rented.

Prices
include Michigan six percent lodging tax. The cleaning/ security deposit is $200. per cottage. No large parties, tents, RVs, or trailers. Weekly rentals run from Friday after 4 pm to Friday before 12 noon.
Sheets are not included with the rental. Each bed will have a mattress pad and clean bottom sheet. Please plan to bring your own sheets or sleeping bag to put on. We can supply sheets if requested,  at the rate of $10 per bed or $40  per cottage.   There are many blankets and pillows at each cottage.

How Do I Book A Rental?

1. Call to see if the week is available.
2. Send a personal check with a note indicating the cottage(s) and the date of rental desired.
3. Your booking is confirmed when we receive your check.

(We are not set up to take charge cards)
4.  Last minute rentals are accepted until a few days before the rental date, because we need to receive your check, damage deposit, and signed release form before we can give you the key combination.  We recommend Fed-Ex and we call you to confirm as soon as we receive delivery. For Fed-Ex, please choose the basic type that does not require a signature, since we are never home when they come, and if they can just tuck it in our door we get it much, much faster.
5. In the unusual case that the desired week  is already taken by the time we receive your check, we call to see if you wish to apply it to a different week, and if not, we tear it in two, and return it to you.

Confirmed deposits should be sent to:

This is a daughter of the original wild rose that my great grandmother planted. We have photos of them standing in front of a rose trellis, but the rose seemed long gone. 1 year I noticed a small sprout, and dug it up, put in some humus, replanted it, and after a year or so, it began flowering again.  I was so excited about that, but it always flowers during the early peak rental season, so I never actually saw  the roses it has  until a guest was kind enough to send me a photo-card of it.  Thank you again! It's one of my favorite photos....
