 The ruling
body of Tarsier consists of an Adjutant General, Dume val'Abebi, who is
responsible for the safety and well being of his troops and those within the
city's walls. He is the chief administrative officer of the city who has all
the rights and privileges of a governor to use as he sees fit to keep the city
running smoothly and efficiently. He is supported by two commanders, and four
lieutenants who carry out his instructions with military proficiency and
execute them in a timely manner. These two lieutenants are in turn reinforced
by 6 Captains who are responsible for dispensing disciplinary actions and
keeping the troops in perfect form.
Dume val'Abebi is an amazing
administrator and military man, his public works projects have given the
citizens ways to generate an income and improve the overall condition of the
military outpost. The men within the city respect him and his men under his
command follow him unquestionably. He is a rising star within the ranks of the
Altherian military and someday hopes to leave Tarsier and lead men into battle
on the field instead of defending this backwater station from the raiding
Ss'ressen.
The two lieutenants of the Adjutant General are Taiwo val'Mehan, a
fighter to the core, and Veronica Setae, a wizard who is respected among all
those within the city. Taiwo val'Mehan was brought up in the traditional ways
of a fighter and has felt that it was his duty to protect the weak and
helpless. Therefore he left his family and headed to the city of Tarsier, an
out of the way posting where the people desperately needed his help when he
arrived in 1014 I.C. His stance on the Ss'ressen is merciless and he hates them
with a passion. He has a medium build, sandy hair, and is of average height, he
is somewhat of a playboy in the city and is in the hearts of all the young
women. Veronica Setae on the other hand is unattainable by anyone in the city,
she distances herself from most of the men in the town and focuses completely
on her job. She has failed the city before because she was distracted from her
duties during a Ss'ressen raid on the city. She was court-marshalled and tried
for failure to follow orders, however she was exonerated and to this day she
has never forgotten her failure at that critical moment. |
