Walking & Jogging:

The outdoor track is safely within the club grounds , is lighted, and surrounded by a secure fence. Azalea Fitness Trail:

In 1988, our President and Executive Director, Grady Lowery, was responsible for forming a committee and initiating a crusade for the City of Lufkin and Angelina Beautiful Clean to develop a fitness trail along Hurricane Creek from Kiwanis City Park to Grace Dunn Richardson Park. In 1992 the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department approved a $500,000 grant to fund one half of the project.
Generosity of the land owners along the creek and the TLL Temple Foundation provided the balance of the funds for construction. The trail will pass just behind our club, behind Lufkin Mall, underneath First St. (business 59), and behind Angelina Billage to provide a two mile (approximately) long trail (4 mile round trip). Members are able to access the Azalea Fitness Trail from our facility.
