Ok, so I was flicking through the channels earlier, and I came across jerry springer. The topic was "I'm pregnant by a transsexual." Although only one of the stories had anything to do with pregnancy.

All of the stories except for one had nothing to do with transsexuals, just that some of the people involved happened to be transsexual. There was one where this guy was cheating on his girlfriend with 'a' transsexual. That doesn't have anything to do with transsexualism, except it was easier for the audience to laugh at the 'freak'. Not even jerry called her by her name, she was always either 'a' transsexual, or 'the' transsexual. jerry even insisted that the guy was bisexual, even though he said he was straight. Of course because the show had the word transsexual in the topic, it was focused on her, instead of on the fact that he was cheating on his girlfriend.

The only story that really had anything to do with transsexualism, was one where she came on the show to tell her boyfriend of 5 months that she was transsexual. I really felt sorry for her. Although if she is stupid enough to go on a show like that, maybe I shouldn't be. But still, she was treated like crap by everyone. Her boyfriend seemed to be mostly pissed that she had 'lied' to him. I can understand that, but it brings up that question. When do you tell someone? She was pre op, so she probably should of told him sooner, as he would find out eventually. She seemed to be rather intelligent, but again, maybe not if she went on the show. jerry told her she should of told him before they started going out. But I don't agree with that. In a perfect world, yeah I would, but this is not a perfect world. You run the risk of being physically abused, or the usual, you will only be known as 'the' transsexual, or 'a' transsexual. The same as if you're gay, bi, lesbian, non-white, muslim, hindu, or any other minority. Unless you are a straight, white, adult, christian male, you are never (insert your name here), you are always, the gay guy, the transsexual, the kid, the girl, the terrorist.

So yeah, I don't think she should of told him straight away. Let him get to know her as a person, instead of as 'a' transsexual. I think she left it too long though. If you're going to do sexual things with someone else, then you have to be prepared to tell them.

But the little prick started saying how he has gay cousins and he could have set her up with them. Um, hello, dickhead?!? She is female, the definition of gay means they wouldn't be interested. Of course, jerry decided that he wouldn't call her by her name, not even by the insulting 'a' transsexual, oh no, he decided to call her a guy. The most offensive thing he could have. He wouldn't even give her a chance to defend herself. She was highly feminine looking. Unless you were up close and knew exactly what you were looking for you wouldn't have been able to tell her past. Which made me wonder. The majority of transsexuals on the show weren't very attractive. So I presume they screen the guests, so that only the ones who don't look very feminine get on. And most of the transsexuals they have on there aren't ladylike either. I know that's a stereotype, but if you want to be taken seriously and not looked at as a freak, don't sit with your legs wide open wearing a short dress. Don't start calling everyone else insulting names. And don't EVER spread bullshit about transsexualism. Don't let the bastards call you a guy, don't let them call you a male. Unless of course you're ftm :) Don't EVER tell anyone you have a choice. Because you know it's not true. But if someone does call you a male, don't get abusive towards them. Your point will be lost and you could end up being physically abused. Most of all, DON'T EVER GO ON A GODDAMN TALK SHOW!! They are there purely for ratings and 'normal' people, including transsexuals, just aren't ratings winners. If for some damn reason you are compelled to do it, don't act like a moron.

I also wondered how many transsexuals the show has on, but they didn't know, because they were in stealth mode. I would bet there has been a few, and of course, their transsexualism had nothing to do with whatever topic they had.

The thing that pissed me off the most, was jerry himself. You'll have noticed that I haven't capitalised his name. He doesn't deserve it. His continual incorrect gender pronouns for the guests was appalling. His insistence that their male partners are gay was particularly insulting. His final thought was so bad there are no words to describe it. He said that we, as transsexuals, don't have the right to keep our transsexualism to ourselves, and that it's a lifestyle (What the FUCK is up with that bullshit? Doesn't anyone know the meaning of the word lifestyle anymore??!!!!???) really pissed me off. I swear, we, as people who suffer from this condition called transsexualism, should get these shows cancelled. We will NEVER have equal rights, hell we won't ever be seen as people, whilever this bullshit is allowed to air. They don't have shows that make fun of people with Down's Syndrome, do they? No of course they don't. So why do they have shows they make fun of people who suffer from transsexualism?

I've been hearing a bit about the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival lately and this is what I think. Firstly, I hate the word womyn. The reason it's womyn and not women is because the feminazis think that the men part of the word women hurts them, so they spell it womyn. It doesn't empower them, it just makes them look stupid. The word is WOMAN not WOMYN. Ugh, it's even worse when they write wimin. Do they realise it is making them look really immature? In any case I will refer to the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival as MWMF from now on. So this festival is a female only event. It's a place to go for a week to escape the reality of a patriarchal society, although I think that's mostly a beat up anyway. So anyway, it's for females only, but their policy is now womyn born womyn. This is recent, within the last 10 years. In other words, all females welcome except trans females. Now it's run by a private organisation, and I respect their wishes not to have transwomen there, except that's not how they have it. They went out of their way to specifically exclude transwomen. As evidenced in the policy womyn born womyn. This is all very well and good, but it really is transphobia and plain ignorance. Transwomen are BORN FEMALE. Through no fault of their own they have male primary sexual characteristics at birth. The organisers really want you to believe that transwomen are just men who for some reason want to infiltrate their lesbian feminist gathering. Oh, and they do allow transmen there. Because they aren't really men, just confused lesbians. Ugh! Ignoring the fact that many transmen are gay, i.e they like men, it is still denying their gender identities.

According to them, transwomen have experienced male priveledge. Don't they understand that not only is that almost always bullshit, that transwomen face just as much bullshit from men as non-transwomen?

Their event is welcome to all women from all backgrounds, except transwomen, but yet they claim that transwomen are still women. In other words it's just selectivity. We are women until we want to attend their event. Personally I don't want to. As far as music festivals go it isn't that great. Yeah, it may be a place to go and relax with no men, but I can do that in the bathtub.

As far as the whole no men thing goes, it's based on stereotypes and generalisations. They see men as the enemy, the people who rape and pillage them. So they make this event to be free from violence. Women are capable of just as much violence as men. What's stopping a woman at that event from raping another woman there? Nothing. Certainly nothing is stopping any woman from putting a bullet in another woman's head. Women can't even take their little baby boys there. Apparently they too are vile raping machines.

Really, I wouldn't care, except for their transphobic misinformation.

When it comes down to it, they are entitled to let whoever they want in, but if they want to specifically exclude transfemales, then they really should not say 'womyn born womyn' as that is misleading and offensive. They should have said females born with a vagina only. But even then, intersexed people who identify as female, and were born with indistinguishable gentialia are then being excluded.

I'm sure that the majority of people would love to pretend we don't exist. Unfortunately for everyone, we DO exist and denying that fact won't make us go away. Saying that we aren't women is ignorant at best and highly offensive at worst. I, for one, am offended by this 'womyn born womyn' policy. This statement says that we are not female and that our femaleness is a charade just to infiltrate them.

I just want to say FUCK YOU to the organisers of MWMF. You should be damn thankful that you were born with a vagina. We have to deal with not only being female, but also being transfemale. We face discrimination everywhere we go, simply because people like you just don't get it. What is it exactly that you hate about us so much? Is it the simple fact that we were born with a penis? You need a reality check if that's the case, because a penis doesnt mean shit. It's just some skin and some tissue that would have developed into female genitals if something didn't go wrong. It's not our fault. We haven't enjoyed 'male priveledge'. From the word go we have been abused and assaulted because of who we are. People, like you, don't like the fact that we exist, so you deny us rights. As long as you see men as the enemy you will always be complaining that you aren't getting a fair go, when in reality, females for the most part are equals with men. It is discrimination to deny someone something because of something they cannot help. Like their gender. Men can't help being men. Whilever you attack them for that fact you won't get anywhere.
