In Daised and Confused (airdate May 12, 2000) Daisy's mother dies in a car crash. Diasy's father was also in the car but he did not die. Daisy must go back home for the funeral. She takes Shelby and Sophie with her. Daisy must face the abusive father whom she tried to kill. Also for the first time in a while we see Goth Daisy. We also learn that Sophie is unable to have children. While still at school the other kids read Frankenstine. Auggie makes a visual presentation of what he thinks the "monster" felt like. Juliet compares herself to the monster. And also Juliet gets a letter from her mom saying she is coming to visit soon

One of Those Days and Because it's There.
In One of Those Days (airdate May 19, 2000) the kids perform Romeo and Juliet, well actually Ezra's version of it. Ezra said that he had never read the play when he had actually read it over 20 times. This was all in an effort to impress Daisy. He tells Daisy how he feels only to find she doesn't feel the same way. Also in this episode we find out Sophie has to have surgery for her condition. And Shelby has to return home to her stepfather who molested her. She hates it there and is scared. She wants to stay at Horizon but can't. Also Peter's brother comes up to discuss their fathers will and they grow closer together.
In Because it's There (airdate May 26, 2000) Sophie still hasn't told peter she can't have kids and everytime they get close she pulls away. Shelby is at home and hates it. She's scared all the time and always alone with her stepdad. We meet shelby's little sister Jessica. Shelby is now questioning who she is. Scott is taking Shelby leaving hard and Daisy lets him read her letters. It turns out that Shelby's stepdad molested her little sister to. She thinks about killing either herself or him. But through the strength she got through Scott praying for her she called the cops and her stepdad was taken away. Also an old student of Peters, Spencer, comes to te school and invites Peter to take a 3 week climb with his team. Peter can't though because he has a knee injury. He starts taking pain relievers, which he was addicted to in the first place
Up in the sky near that big cloud that looks like a pig is Episode 20, Falling Up
In Falling up (airdate May 26, 2000) Peter takes cold medicine with his pain releivers and they interact. I found this episode one of the most desturbing episodes of the season. Peter has hallucinations about his past drug use. He also has them about all of the cliffhangers calling him a loser and not respecting him because he slipped up. Eventually he tells Sophie about it and she helps him. Scott's biological mom comes to visit. Scott hasn't seen her since his parents divorce. They go to lunch at Rusty's. She knows exactly what he wants to order. In conversation she tells him that she believes all the stuff Scott has said. When she asks scott why he thought Elaine kept all the letters from him and Scott can't give an answer, she said it was because Elaine wanted herself to look like the victum and him the abuser. Scott's mom gives shelby advice about her and Scott's relationship.
