The Roaming Shakespeare
Okay, so it all started when, on Saturday, January 21, 2006, my grandma took me to see the Southwest Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet at the Mesa Arts Center.  SSC had a booth there in the hallway, and they were giving away these uber-rad suckers for a donation of one dollar.  So Grandma bought me one.  Hooray Grandma!  Anyway, these aforementioned uber-rad suckers were shaped like - you guessed it (or maybe not? - the head of the Bard himself.  Yep, that's right, they were shaped like Shakespeare's head and famous collar.
Of course, I HAD to take this sucker to school with me on Monday.  How could I not?  It's uber-radness was simply
begging to be shown off.  Well, by the end of the day, I was, well, a tad hyper.  In my defense, it was a Monday.  Anyhoo, after school, I had the most "scathingly brilliant idea" (the quote is from The Trouble With Angels, by the way).  Remember those Roaming Gnome commercials for some travel company?  They were on a couple years back.  It was a British Lawn Gnome, and they would show random pictures of him in all sorts of places.
Well, I decided that I was going to kill time by taking my uber-rad Shakespeare sucker, my Sprint camera phone, and my friend Kira on a journey around our school...all for the sake of my
Roaming Shakespeare project!

Scroll down for the pictures, and mouse over them for details!
Oh, look!  A stage!  Will knows these pretty well, I'd say. Like everyone else SHOULD, Willie S. knows the value of a good Orchestra.
Huzzah for the Performing Arts...and Shakespeare!
Poet, playwright, sucker...and now...PIANIST!
On my desk in second hour.  'Twas the beginning of the photojourney.
Can you find him?
Lying on the lunch table. Here's ol' Bill hanging out on a tree in front of the 700's building.
A bush.  Hooray flora.
Looks like little Shakespeare wants to learn about some Reproductive Technology in the Media Center.
Look, twins!
Why is there a stick with an unGodly amount of chewed up gum on it?  I have no bloody idea.
Good book.  I guess Shakespeare likes it, too.
Shakespeare got to visit merry ol' London on his journey 'round the school!  Thanks to Mrs. Jones allowing me into her classroom at 3:30 in the afternoon to take random pictures!
Oooh, dead grass...
If you look up "poet" in the dictionary, Willie's picture is right there.  Okay, not really, but it is in this picture!
Ah, soft car seat cushion.
Car door.  Huzzah.
Kira and Will.
Shameless Shakespeare Club plugging.  Yes.
Cement columnry in all it's cementine glory.
Danielle and Will.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't all done at the school.  But most of it was, and the few that weren't taken at the school were taken on the way home from school! ^.^
'Tis our Media Center's collection of works by the Bard.
Okay, well, sadly, I guess Shakespeare feels it's time to go now.  Thanks for stopping by the site!
