Today, by visiting your pages here, my ignorance to this problem has been seen.
Your pages opened my eyes to my own ignorance, because when I think of addicts,
I get the picture of the dirty people on the streets and such.
Then I read " The Wall ". I cried as I read the pages written by the family and friends
of those that passed away due to the drugs.
There was a story there about a girl who was alive but
will never walk, talk, or be able to experience life to it's fullest again.
I saw the pictures of these people!
They looked so "normal" for lack of a better word.
Not like I had pictured at all. The Wall opened my eyes to what is really
going on in the world. I am not naive, but have never had druggie friends
or been around the drug scene. Your pages taught me a lot.
I have added it to my bookmarks, I tend to go back often and read more.
I am only 21 anddo not have my opinions set in stone yet, lets hope I never do.
I am always open to learning new things.
Today was a good ay for that!!

What an interesting site you have here, Lisbeth.
In the '60s, I was married to a heroin addict and even tried it myself for a very short time.
As a "hippie" and musician "groupie"...spent most of the '60's in a pot & acid haze.
Later found 'ludes & cocaine.
Clean for over 12 years with absolutel NO desires or cravings. Did it all "cold-turkey".
Last year quit a 35 year 2-pack a day smoking habit.
I'm still a "hippie" and musician "groupie" at the age of 50.
Just in a different groove and on spiritual path.
I'm frequently published on ins irational and motivational sites.
