The Planets, Moons, & Other Heavenly Bodies

To date, no single nation has been able to establish sole dominion over any single heavenly body, except for Deimos and Phobos. As soon as any nations suspects that its rivals may be planning to send a first-lander to any moon or planet, the next available launch slot is used to send out an unmanned probe or lander, simply to prevent sole possession. Although there are no official exclusive claims on either Deimos or Phobos by Prussia and Great Britain respectively, both have successfully discouraged development by any other nation or entity.

Earth & Earth Orbit

Launch/Landing Sites

British: Singapore Royal Aerospace Base, Mombasa Royal Aerospace Base
Prussian: Douala Imperial Aerospace Base (Kamerun)
Dutch: Palau Island Aerospace Facility (North of New Guinea)
French: Kourou Aerospace Base (French Guiana), Saint-Louis Aerospace Base (Senegale)
Russian: Baikonor Kosmodrome (Location undisclosed)
American: Lewis & Clark Space Center (South Florida)
Japanese: Kanegoshima Imperial Aerospace Base (Kanegoshima)

Orbital Facilites

British: Aurora Orbital Station
Prussian: Lothar Orbital Station
Dutch: Prince of Orange Orbital Station
French: LaGrange Orbital Station

All orbital stations work together with each other and variour ground installations to coordinate space traffic. Prince of Orange Station also maintains large, zero-gravity, nonpressurized storage space that may be rented. None of the orbital stations publically announce any other work, but it is considered likely that some sort of research is carried out.

Satellites

All nations with launch capability have at least one or two satellites. The United States and Japan have a network of geosynchronous radio satellites.

Luna

Bases & Colonies

British: Thessaly Base/Naxos Colony, Lunar Nearside

Has a Rusty Nail take-away booth, which is licensed to the British Ministry of Aerospace.

Prussian: Prinz Friedrich Base/Leopold Colony, Lunar Nearside; Prinz Wilhelm Base/Joseph Colony, Lunar Farside

Prinz William Base operates a very large telescope, called the Kaiser Lunar Observatory

Dutch: Grotius Base/Neu Amsterdam Colony, Lunar Nearside

Grotius Base is known for its parties, and also has the only known brothel on the moon.

French: Montgolfier Base/Nouvelle Marseilles Colony, Lunar Nearside

Nouvelle Marseilles recently denied a request by Hole in the Wall Inc. to open an establishement.

Mars & Mars Orbit

Mars Orbital Stations

British: Samothrace Orbital Base, near Phobos
Prussian: Ludwig Orbital Station, near Deimos
Dutch: Prince William Orbital Station
French: Descartes Orbital Station

Prussia maintains Ludwig Orbital Station, to coordinate communication and traffic, and to provide security backup for Deimos. The British maintain Samothrace Orbital Base for equivalent reasons. All the orbital stations also provide support for their respective nations' Mars Colonies. The Dutch have recently moved their asteroid mining support operation to Vesta (see below), and their future plans for Prince William Station, which nowhas only a skeleton crew, are unclear.

Mars Bases and Colonies

British: Marathon Station, Chryse Planitia; Theses Station/Olympus Colony, Olympus Mons
Prussian: Ferdinand Base/Maxmillian Colony, Pavonis Mons; Karl Ice Mining Station, South Pole
Dutch: Vermeer Base/Neu Nassau, Boreal Plains
French: Réaumur Base/Nouvelle Orleans (Location undisclosed)

Deimos

Bases

Prussia claims the entirety of Deimos for "security reasons," and nobody has yet challenged the claim. The Prussians are in the middle of a massive "Space Elevator" project, and intend to shift Deimos's orbit so that it is areosynchronous over Pavonis Mons. Currently, Konrad Base is built around what will become one end of the Space Elevator, Kepler Station.

Phobos

Bases

The British have covered about 40% of Phobos with Alexandria Base, and have a de facto claim on the entire moon. Most of Alexandria Base is empty, depressurized domes that exist solely to hold down the claim. Storage space is available for rent, but there are no security features. Alexandria Base has a full-sized Hole in the Wall.

Vesta & the Asteroid Belt

The Dutch Government recently completed construction of Hieronymus Bosch Mining & Research Station on the asteroid Vesta, which supports their asteroid mining operation. No other nation has a presence in the asteroid belt as yet, but there is no doubt that it will be the site of the next "land rush."
