Usually the first sign of a deteriorating LCD screen is a few flickering segments. Once that starts it will eventually spread to affect the entire screen.


The display does not self heal.

Assuming that your car's LCD screen displays any or all of the symptoms listed below, then we're able in all cases to permanently correct the condition that causes the display to fade.

         
* LCD segments or the whole screen flickers

         
* LCD segments disappear temporarily or completely

         
* The LCD display changes during your trip, for example
             it gets better or worse depending on how long the car
             is operated that day

         
* The LCD displays a variety of symptoms that are more
             intense in cold weather, especially frosty mornings


All these symptoms are due to failure of the ACF.


Special note for AU1 Orange Displays: One blown LCD background illumination bulb will give the impression of a fading LCD display. Two blown bulbs will result in a black screen. Check the bulbs or renew them to properly assess these symptoms.
