| At the height of the Portuguese rule , Old Goa was considered the entry point to the Indian Subcontinent. Seen here is the centuries old St. Cajetan Cathedral. You can also discern the remains of the wharf on the river Mandovi where Portuguese battleships docked. The picture was shot from a ferry linking my island holiday-home to the mainland.
