News: August '03 - December '03

30th December '03
Hope you all had a great Christmas...don't get too drunk tomorrow! Hehe. Next time I update this it'll be 2004...woohoo! We've got a gig lined up for next year -27th Feb at the Packhorse with LKA supporting. We're organising it ourselves so if there's any bands out there interested in playing...give us an email here. Also if anyone would be so kind as to give us a gig, we'd muchos appreciate it and we'll try and return the favour! Hmmm think that's all for now...laters!

21st November '03
Thanks to everyone for coming on wednesday, it was a great night! ...Even though Bean forgot the words etc... hehe. Hopefully get a video of one of the songs up here soon so look out for it here! Also some piccies soon and maybe more gigs, woohoo! Oh yeah and one more thing, look on the links page for our mates' band - "Let's Kill Aaron" ...they rock!!

Hmmm it seems that every time we post something on here it's about someone leaving! So... due to other commitments, Holly has made the decision to leave the band... which leaves Bean to fill in as vocalist. This may require some switching of guitar etc but hopefully will work for the near, if not far future. We're sorry to have to let Holly to go but we fully support her in her decision to do so and hope she goes far in her next band/project/thing! In other news... we have another gig! Info on the gigs page, and we expect you all to be there! Hehe...laters :-)

So... 3 days after the Packhorse gig and... WOW! I didn't know you lot could make that much noise! The whole gig experience was AMAZING, and left us begging for more! A huge thanks to everyone who came to see us, and to Suave Bastards (Nee Nor!) and All It's Worth. An extra special thank you goes out to Pete (AIW) for letting us play and making us practise like hell to be ready in time! And to those who missed it...shame on you! We expect to see you next time (around November time at John Sowerby Theatre, date tbc) !! What else...there's talk of an EP in the air...but we'll let you know more as we do...but I think that's it for now, TTFN!

6th October '03
As a few of you might know, we had a few problems with Gaz and the decision was made for him to leave. Since then Cabbage's brother (AKA Matt) has v. kindly been filling in and as no other bassists have emerged from the haze ...he'll be doing this job until further notice. However, due to other commitments he is unable to become a permanent member of IMPURE ...so if there's any luvly juvly bassists out there ...or just a random geetarist wanting a change (we've got a bass!!) please email us... here.

15th September '03
IMPURE_are now able to put their school to some use, in being allowed the theatre two nights a week until further notice. This means plenty of practice for the Packhorse gig! A few other gigs have come on the agenda but as they are yet to have definite dates/lineups, they aren't on the gigs page. They should hopefully be happening around the start of December ...so don't say we didn't warn you!

Welcome to the new site! Hopefully a lil' more easy to maintain this time, less work on the site...more on the band! As you can see in the "members" section, the lineup has changed, bringing Bracho in on drums, Holly on vox and Gaz on bass. So that means plenty of practising for our first gig!
