Episode Summaries: The Inevitable Encounter: We are introduced to the anime series starting out with a strange scene that shows Syaoran and Sakura in some kind of glass tube. In the end, Sakura gains wings and flies back, leaving Syaoran alone. Then, the show actually begins. Sakura comes to visit Syaoran after he comes home from work to make sure he's doing okay, and to ask how long he will be staying before departing back to the ruins. He replies that he only came to get a few things, and that he'll be going back at nightfall, which lowers Sakura's happiness. In spite of her expression, he offers to let her come with him to the bazaar, which immediately makes her extremely excited. When recieving an apple and a crowd of loyal citizens, a few of the castle guards appear to take Sakura back. Syaoran takes her hand and helps her escape. Sakura begins to tell Syaoran that she loves him, but is interrupted by the country's bell, which signals that she must return. She promises to tell him what she wanted to say next time they meet, and then heads off. Touya nags and calls Syaoran a brat and a runt- though Sakura defends him and expains that he is a hard worker. Yukito comes to stop their bickering, and tells that there is much more to the ruins then they knew before. With a rude comment from Touya, Sakura leaves in anger, allowing Yukito to explain that he has seen many trials ahead for Sakura and Syaoran. Back at the ruins, Syaoran is studying a symbol on the ground when suddenly Sakura appears and touches it with her hands. A pink light starts to orbit the area and Sakura sprouts wings. The "bad guys" are shown and explain that the power to control time and space will be theirs, and then it goes back to Syaoran and Sakura. Syaoran is climbing the wall in attempt to save her, and leaps up and grabs her. When he hits the ground with the Princess in his arms, feathers fly into the sky, and he notices that she is turning cold. He exits the ruins to suddenly get surrounded by a bunch of enemies. Touya and Yukito come and destroy them all, giving Syaoran a chance to explain to Sakura's brother what happened. He seems slightly angered but leaves her to him. Yukito leads Syaoran and Sakura somewhere safe and transports them to see the Space Time and Dimensional Witch- also known as Yuuko. Two other characters, Fye and Kurogane are sent to Yuuko from two other worlds. Fye sends himself after putting his king to rest in a pool of water, while Kurogane is sent by his princess, Tomoyo because of his needless killing. The last words said in this episode are by Syaoran, "I beg of you! Please save Sakura!" -End of Episode 1- The Power to Fight Syaoran, Fye, and Kurogane are all spoken to by Yuuko, who explains that all of their wishes are the same: Syaoran wants to go to other worlds to gather Sakura's memory fragments, Fye wants to go to other worlds to run from his country, and Kurogane wants to travel through worlds to return to his own. She also tells that in order to do so, they'd all need to give up their most precious item. Kurogane's price is his Katana, silver dragon, while Fye has to give up the tattoo on his back. In order to travel to other worlds, Syaoran has to give up his relationship with Sakura. By this, Yuuko means that even if Sakura is to receive all of her memories, she won't gain any memories of him. Though it is a tough choice, Syaoran picks her life over himself. After all prices had been paid, Yuuko warns the three that going to different worlds will be more difficult than they imagine. As she finishes, she is brought two rabbit like creatures- one black, one white. She introduces them to Mokona Modoki, who will be responsible for their transportation to other worlds. They are transported out of Japan, and to whatever world they may be taken to. Syaoran wakes up in a portal to see a fireball object flying toward himself and the still unconscious Sakura. He defends her and watches as the ball of fire becomes a wolf creature enveloped in the flames. Upon awakening away from his own dreams, he knows that he is in a different world than before. Some of the main banter in the story occurs when Kurogane is telling his name. Fye insists that he calls him Kuro-pon, along with other "girly" names. His objections are interrupted when they realize that they are caught in a battle of "kudans" between two gangs (The term Kudan was created by CLAMP, which means a Decisive Attack). As they watch the battle, Fye finds a feather that was stuck to Syaoran's clothing. It is blown away by an attack, leaving Syaoran no choice but to run after it. He heads right into the battle, but is nearly blow to bits by a large wave of fire. He shields himself with a ball of fire, when the fire wolf that he had seen in his dream appears. Shugo- the leader of the water gang approaches him and starts battle with the new user of kudans. There's a long, dramatic scene as the view passes from Syaoran to Shugo and their kudans; opposite in element. -End of Episode 2- © Sealed Angel 2005 and Link | No Copyright Infringement Intended |
