In order to ressurect their dead mother, Edward and Alphonse Elric used a forbidden Alchemy. (Alchemy: the science of transmuting matter from one form to another) While performing the alchemy, Ed loses one of his arms, and one of his legs while his little brother Al loses his entire body. Ed seals Al's soul in a suit of armor. The two boys are looking to find the philosopher's stone in order to restore their bodies.
