  古德說:「若要治標,不如治本」,想要消業轉業,就要從我們這念因心做起,時時安住正念。《淨名經》說:「何為病本?所謂攀緣。云何斷攀緣?謂心無所得。」由此可見,人之所以容易得病及感染的主因,正是我們不斷向外攀緣的心,放縱諸多欲求,讓眼、耳、鼻、舌、身、意六根,始終在聲色犬馬中,貪婪不止地追逐五欲,在利益得失之間載浮載沉。,我們必須做的,就是觀照自己的念頭,止息攀緣。那麼應該如何做呢?就是不出「止」、「觀」二種方便。   簡單的說,「止」就是止息惡念、妄念和雜念,將心安住在一個定位上,譬如用誦經、持咒、打坐、禮懺、修善等方法,將心專注地靠在善法上,讓狂心頓歇,歇即菩提。而「觀」就是做什麼事情都要清楚明白,不作無謂的妄想,不起惡心邪念,時時覺察覺照,反省檢討,懺悔改過,所以修止觀,就是修定慧,如此一來,善修止觀,不但能治眾病,尚且亦能超越生老病死苦,即使外在的疫情如何擴散,也不會與其相應。當這念心光明時,所在的法界也就平安吉祥,因為十法界都在這一念心當中。所謂「一法界現,九法界隱」,若能常保「一真法界」時時刻刻現前,處處作主,了了分明,常寂常照,定慧等持,如此就能到達超凡入聖的境地,遠離一切的災難和恐懼。
