| Part One: The Black Hole Chapter 13B
"Okay. I think I've figured it out.", Naomi said, as they made it back, "In order to go through the portal you have to be closed inside four walls."
"In other words, our jets.", Edele said.
"Yeah. And you're going to need to be all three individually. Otherwise, you might end up-."
"We know!", they all said at the same time.
"So, we go back tonight and get our jets.", Edele said.
"Okay. But what about launching? The Control Center is completely", Naomi made a sound effect that sounded like flatulence.
"We'll think of something. Where's the wiring?"
Edele searched the crumbled ruins. Her eyes caught a severed wire poking out of the brick. She reached for it, slowly.
"Careful.", she said to herself.
Her fingers touched the wire. A tiny spark jolted through her fingers.
"Yow! Oh,man! Ouch!Okay, we know that works.", she said, holding her hand.
She saw something silver in the corner of her eyes. Naomi held a pare of tweezers out to her.
"You could have used these."
"Then why did you let me-!? Never mind. I think if we can somehow get these wires together"
"I should be taking a nice bath right now.", Sinead thought aloud.
"And they wonder why our albums take so long.", Keavy said.
"Keavy, can you work on this?"
"I was a tire-fixer, not an electrician!", Keavy said.
"I know! I know! I'm reaching here."
"Maybe I could be of assistance.", a voice said. The green, horned man from before stood in front of them again.
"Didn't we tell you to leave?", Edele said.
"Yes, you did. But you appear in need of help. And since I am partly responsible for your friend's disappearance"
"You. What is your name?", Sinead said
"The name I am given is Visago, Your Highness.", he said, bowing his head.
"What can you do to help?"
"Quite a lot. I was the master engineer on board the Royal Ship. I can fix just about anything with wires and bolts."
"Then do it. The rest of us need to prepare to get our jets back.", Sinead said.
She was exerting more and more iron authority as the day progressed. Perhaps, she really was a ruler in a past life.
