FRIGHT PLANET
Part One: The Black Hole
Chapter 13A

Edele perched on top of one of the buildings. She sported a yellow, back-less halter since it was the only thing she could wear.
Below, Sinead and Keavy hid among the crowd. All three communicated through their Trackers on their wrists, which also acted walkie-talkies as well.

"Can you see them?", Sinead said to Edele and Keavy.

"Nothing yet.", Keavy said, craning her neck to see over the crowd. She didn't have her suit on, but remained hidden under her long coat just the same.

"I can see one.", Edele said. She had the advantage of a high view. "There. Beside the building to your right, Keavy. I think it's yours."

The silvery jet glistened in the sun. It's nose was crushed into the brick side of the building. Edele flew from the building she was perched on and onto the other. The jet lay just below her. The cockpit remained open. A couple ofwhatever they werestood smoking odd pipes by the jet. One carried a severed head.
Everything looked fine. She leaned over further. Her wings nearly blocked the sun.

"Careful, Edele. That's a dead give away.", Sinead said.

She backed up quickly. "Oops."

"Eddie, close your wings.", Keavy said.

Edele wrapped her wings around her front and hooked the claws together to hold them in place.

"We should come back when it's dark.", she said, "It's still too crowded."

"That will give us even less time.", Keavy said.

"Yeah. But it will give us more time to figure out how to get through the portal without coming out looking like a three-headed freak."

"Stop scaring me, Edele.", Sinead said.
