| Part One: The Black Hole Chapter 12
Keavy found some water and a cloth to wash the blood off of Edele's skin. She wet the cloth and wiped the dried, brownish-red stuff from her back and shoulders.
She still hadn't quite gotten the hang of them, and would occasionally slap her sister in the face, flinging water.
"Sorry, Keaves."
"It's okay.", Keavy said, shaking her head and blinking water from her eyes.
"I need to change my bra, like.", Edele said.
"You're on your own there.", Keavy handed her twin the wet, blood-soaked rag, "Do your front."
Sinead came in, still looking a bit peeved. The other girls were surprised to find themselves a little apprehensive around her.
"UhSinead?", Keavy said.
"Yes?"
"Ar-Are you okay?"
"Oh, don't be silly. I'm fine.", she said.
"Okay, so we know we have to go through the portal, but what about coming back out?", Edele said, "And there's the fact we only have on working jet."
"Where's that little, mechanical talking hover-board when you need her?", Keavy said.
"Last time I saw her, she was with Lindsay."
All three paused, and for a moment stood in awkward silence, their faces downcast and clearing their throats.
"You know, we could come out the other end melted together like a freakish, six-legged monster.", Sinead said, "Oh. Now I've scared myself."
"Maybe if we find something to put between us", Keavy said, "to keep our molecules from merging together."
"That's a risk!? Why didn't that green guy say that was a risk!?", Edele said.
"Let's try not to worry about that. We only have seventy-two hours. And, Edele, when did you get so panicky? That's not the Eddie I know."
"Since I grew giant, freaky dragon wings!"
"I think they're kind of cool.", Sinead said.
"Really? Thanks."
