FRIGHT PLANET
Part One: The Black Hole
Chapter 11

The Control Center, called such for lack of a better name, hadn't avoided the same fate has the rest of the Earth. It was split in two, one half crumbled. They called out the names of the other two girls, Naomi and Olive. And, to their relief, got an answer.
They had a few cuts and bruises, but nothing too severe.

"Are you guys okay?", Keavy said, putting her hand beneath her little sister's chin, inspecting the her wounds.

They nodded.

Sinead got right to the point. "Lindsay is-."

"We know. We saw everything on the scanner."

"So, now what do you do?"

"I don't know. I'm only a teenage- Hey! Does she have wings?", Naomi said, eyeing Edele.

"Ermyeah. It's really weird."

Suddenly, they heard a moan. Edele, who hung over one of Keavy's shoulders like a potato sack, stirred.

"She's awake. Set her down somewhere.", Sinead said.

Keavy laid her down on the ground on her back, her wings spread. Semi-dry blood soaked her bra. Edele slowly regained consciousness. She looked around for a minute, slightly disoriented. Her sisters and the blond girl stood over her. Sinead knelt by her.
Edele saw her wings. And fainted again.

"Eddie. Eddie, wake up.", Sinead lightly slapped her cheeks to revive her.

She opened her eyes again.

"Socky,"

"Yes?"

"Do I still have wings?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Edele, can you stand?", Keavy said.

"UmI don't know. Help me up."

Keavy reached down and pulled her twin off the ground. Edele stumbled a bit, and threw her arms around Keavy's neck to stabilize herself.

"I love you, too.", Keavy joked.

"My shoulders hurt."

"We need to get you cleaned upAnd figure out whatto do."

Without warning, Sinead stood and fired her weapon and an unknown assailant.
The smoke rose from the double-barrel.
She aimed again.

"Sinead, have you gone mad?", Edele said.

Then he came out of hiding. His hands were up, his head crouched between his arms.

"Don't shoot. I come in peace.", he said.

He slowly lifted his head as she slowly lowered her gun. She kept the other low on him, just in case.
His skin was an odd green color, his hair blue. He had two tiny horns on his forehead, below his scalp. And when he opened his mouth, he had sharp, green teeth. His other features, however, were decidedly human.

"What do you want?", Sinead said.

"Simplya chance to explain", he stated. His voice was neither deep or threatening.

"Explain."

"People have no patience anymore."

Sinead showed a very rare side to herself.
She lunged at him and pressed him into a beam that had been left standing.

"Listen, horn-boy! I'm not supposed to be here, do you understand? I'm supposed to be at home, taking a nice bath. But no, I'm not, am I? I'm really pissed off and I have no patience now, so spill!"

"Okay. Don't hurt me, Princess.", he said, "I was aboard that ship. What happenedwas a mistake. We never intended for an apocalypse."

"Why were you attacking Earth?", Edele said, still being held up by Keavy.

"It was a ruse. A scheme to draw the four of you out."

"Why?", Sinead said, still glaring.

"Because, the survivors have re-colonized.", he said.

"Survivors? Re-colonized?", Keavy and Edele said.

"A long time ago, many dimensions were destroyed. And, until you defeated him, those who survived the wrath of Teklar-zxen remained in hiding. We learned from a higher power that the Princess of The Mystiques was alive, and on this planet"

"So, you're plan was to draw us out, and kidnap me?", Sinead said.

"To draw you into the portal. But instead, it took the wrong one."

"We lost Lindsay because a bunch of aliens want me for their Princess!?"

"You are our Princess, Sekra.", he said.

"My name is Sinead. Sinead Maria O'Carroll. Remember it!"

"We never intended for this. She was important to our Universe, too.", he said.

"She was just an object to you! To us, she was a friend.", Edele said.

"How can we get her back?", Sinead said.

"You can't."

She pressed the barrel of her gun beneath his chin.

"I can blow your head off with my guns, and with my mind. Now, tell me, how do we get her back?"

He hesitated, took a deep breath. "It won't be easy."

"So, we can get her back? She's alive?", Keavy said with a hint of excitement.

"Xionia cannot die. Her soul is everywhere. In the sky and the waters."

"Where's her body?", Sinead said.

"You have to go through the portal yourselves. And break the shell of the Beast."

"That sounds easy."

"I assure you, it's not. No living creature has survived the madness of the Beast. And in seventy-two hours, everything will be destroyed. The longer Xionia stays in the shell, the madder she will become."

"What are the risks?", Keavy said.

"Simplyfailure.", he said with all seriousness.
