| Part One: The Black Hole Chapter 10
Edele's ship crash-landed into Earth. It was completely totaled, the nose half buried in the ground, smothered in a cloud of black smoke. A crowd gathered around it. Keavy's landing was rough. She skid half way down the streets before ramming into the side of the building. It stopped her, at least.
"Look! There's another one!", someone called.
"Where are they coming from?", someone else said.
"Outer-space.", the first one said, pointing to the sky.
The crowd was amazed when the cockpit opened, and Keavy stumbled out. She wore the suit from head to toe and it gave her the appearance of an alien. Eyes stared. Keavy was temporarily transfixed by the mass destruction, then her mind went back to her first priority: Find Edele.
"It's an alien!! Grab it!! This is our planet!!" The cries went up. And violence ensued in heaps. Guns were fired by police and civilians alike. Some against each other. People and beasts fell left and right as they fought in an all out war. Keavy could see the fallen jet, but a group of hands held her back, kicking and beating her and trying to push her back into her jet.
The shots were heard, coming from the left. They whizzed by her head. Something hard struck her in the back. She howled in pain.
A large blast sent the attacker reeling back.
"Don't you know it's illegal to hunt bears?", she said.
One came from one side, one came from another. Sinead crossed her arms. Fired. They fell. She never even looked. She turned to the crowd.
"Alright. Who else wants some?"
The crowds were still.
"Princess", some creature mumbled.
Keavy had morphed back into herself. She still held onto her sister.
"Where did you come from?"
"I found a good landing spot on top of that building.", Sinead pointed, "D-Does she have dragon wings?"
"Yeah.", Keavy caught her breath, "I think it has something to do with her power and everything that's going on."
"Why haven't you turned into a big puddle of black goop?"
"I don't know. We need to get to the Control Center fast, and figure this out."
Keavy limped a bit as she carried Edele. Sinead walked backwards, keeping her guns on the crowd. Until they were a safe enough distance to run for the jet.
