NINTH GENERATION

484. Thomas GREEN (287) was born about 1670 in England. (288) He died in 1713 in Concord Twp., Chester Co., PA.(289) (290) Thomas Green, son of Thomas and Margaret, came with his parents to America, probably a young man. He married Sarah (Searle?), a fellow passenger on the voyage to America. The fact that she came listed as a servant was doubtless simply done to get the fifty acres of land which William Penn had promised all who came as such.

Thomas Green was heir to half of the land his father purchased, but probably disposed of it before or shortly after his mother's death in 1707, as after this date he appears to have located on the land of his brother-in-law, Joseph Cloud, in Birmingham. His death occurred in 1713.

After the death of Thomas, Joseph Cloud and Mary his wife, by deed dated 3 May 1715, conveyed the land 150 acres, to Sarah Green, widow of Thomas. this was later deeded to Robert Green, her son, of Birmingham. He was married to Sarah SEARLE about 1690.(291)
