Robert GREEN ^{(213) (214)} was born on 18 Sep 1694 in Concord or Birmingham, Chester Co., PA.⁽²¹⁵⁾ He died on 20 May 1779. ⁽²¹⁶⁾ On the back of the old Marriage Certificate, in the possession of Dr. Jesse C. Green, of West Chester, great-great-grandson of Robert Green He signed a will in 1783 in Birmingham, Chester Co., PA. ⁽²¹⁷⁾ Will of Robert Green, Probated 1783.

Be it remembered that I Robert Green of The Township of Birmingham in the County of Chester & provice of Pennsylvania, yeoman being of Sound and well Disposing mind & Memory (Blessed be the Lord for all his mercies) and Considering the uncertainty of human Life & Being desirous of Settling what Temporal Estate the Lord in his mercy hath blessed me with I have Thought proper to make and publish this my Last will & Testament in manner as Followeth

Item it is my mind and will & I do hereby order and Direct that my Son Robert Green his heirs Executors or administrator shall pay unto his Sister Margaret Chalfant out of what I have Given to him the Sum of three Pounds Currency yearly and Every year after my Decease For and during her Natural life to and for her own particular use and Benefit and from and after my said Daughter Margarets Decease I Give to my Grandson Robert Chalfant the Sum of five pounds and all the Remainder of my said Daughters Children Lawfully begotten of her Body shall be paid Twenty Shillings each to wit - Thomas, Rachel, Abel, David, George, Jesse, Mary and Martha Chalfant and That Land which I have Given unto my Son Robert shall be liable and stand security for the same.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty-ninth day of the fourth month in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy & Seven 1777. N.B. one, her & five were Interlineded before Signed

Nathan Newlin He resided in Birmingham, Chester Co., PA. ⁽²¹⁸⁾ He was buried in Old Concord Mtg. Yard. ⁽²¹⁹⁾ Robert Green was born in Chester County on the property purchased first by his grandfather, and which then was given to his father, and although his father had disposed of the same, the homestead came back later to Robert by deed from his mothe,r Sara, who had received the same by deed. This deed is dated 10 Jun 1721, to Robert Green from his mother Sarah Green of Birmingham, widow, and Thomas Green and his wife Mary of Caln. Thomas joined in the deed probably because he was the eldest son and common heir of his mother. He was married to Rachel VERNON on 14 Nov 1724 in Concord Meeting. ^{(220)(221) (222)} John Vernon and Sarah Pyle declared intentions of marriage at Mtg. 14 Jul 1702. The marriage was allowed on 2 Aug 1702.

243. Rachel VERNON was born on 27 Sep 1704 in Bethel Twp., Chester Co., PA.^{(223) (224)} Rachel's mother died while she was an infant and she probably lived with her grandfather, Robert. She died on 17 Feb 1751.⁽²²⁵⁾ Children were:
