Long Island Birthfocus

Facilitated by Linda Cohen, CCE, CD

The Goal of these classes is for women and their partners to be informed about this important and intimate area of their lives so that they have the tools to actively give birth and to make empowering, educated choices.

Childbirth Classes provide preparation for natural childbirth while cultivating acceptance of all outcomes.  Consumer-Oriented, woman and family- centered approach emphasizes meeting the challenges and nurturing yourselves and your baby for the best possible start in parenthood.

Recognizing that confidence and relaxation are the determining factors in perception of pain, you will learn to replace the unknown with knowledge , while replacing fear and tension with intentional relaxation.

Classes focus on slow, deep breathing as well as spontaneity and creativity to help you meet the intensity of labor.
