Previously widely known as U.S. My Bloody Valentine disciples, what you get now is some great 60's inspired rock 'n' roll-bits of the Stones, the Who, and the Kinksamongst others. The Lilys have also done a great job in recording their material-there's a certain excitment elemental to the music here that couldn't be produced without an obsessive interest in the genre they mine. Not unlike The La's, if they hadn't been such miserable, marijuana-consuming slackers!
