Will aims to party just like Beckham
WILL YOUNG reckons he is musics answer to DAVID BECKHAM and plans to lift the nation just like the England skipper.

The Pop Idol agrees with Becks rallying cry of Lets party and told me: This weekend is going to be the biggest knees-up in history.

Will is on the bill for Mondays Golden Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace and is determined to make sure things go off with a bang.

The country is already on a high after Goldenballs Beckham announced he is fit to play against Sweden in the World Cup tomorrow.

And Will, who is a dead cert to notch up his second No1 single tomorrow with his cover of Light My Fire, plans to add to the party spirit the following day.

Phoning from pre-concert rehearsals, he told me: Beckhams right. This is going to be a great weekend and people should definitely get involved.

There is already a feeling of excitement around the country with the World Cup starting and I hope to add to that.

Will is just as nervous about performing in front of his music heroes as he is of shaking hands with royalty.

He said: I walked into rehearsals and there was Phil Collins with his drum kit. You cant ask for more than that.

I am very excited but Im also very nervous more than I have ever been before.

Its amazing to think that this time last year I was doing my university exams and now Im singing in front of millions of people, not to mention the Queen.

Although Ive not got any revision to do, Ive still got to remember my lines.

The Royal Family are great and we should all get into the spirit of things this long weekend.
