The girl spent many hours there with the wolf pack, just letting them get to know her. She decided that she would stay here for a while sence she had no idea were else to go, and to be honest, she was to scared to go any were else in this house, because of the un-surity of the situation. She didn't want to meet any other people. Didn't want any more memories to come back. Didn't want to hear any more strange voices, or try to discovery her history. She knew that if she continued on in this place it would bring nothing but pain, and pain was something that she could not deal with.
After a while, a larger, pure white wolf approched her. She suspected that this was the leader of the pack, because of how the other animals stepped aside for him to reach her. At first she thought he was merly going to sniff her like the others, but there was something different about this one. He looked as if he had traveld the world, galexies, beyond and back. He stood there for a moment, looking at her, and then to her surprise he spoke. "What do you want from us?" His voice was simulare to the voice she had heard in the stairway, but no. It couldn't be. It is impossible for a wolf, let alone any animal to speak. "Y,y,you spoke." She stammerd. "Yes, I speak. , What do you want from us?" He said again. "How do you speak?" " I will answer all your questions in time, but answer my question." " I did not wish to come to this place, and I have no idea what i'm doing here, but I think it is for me to learn something. As of yet, I am unsure. I saw the door leading here, under the stair way, and decided to follow it, and see were it came from. Now, I just want a place of safety. This house, is scary, and I am scared that if I continue on, I will encounter nothing but pain. Please, do not make me leave. I need safety. That's all I have ever wanted, and for some reason, I feel at peace in this place, with you, and your pack. Please, don't make me leave." The wolf was silent for a while, " You can remain with us, but I must think. You may go any were in this place that you wish, but I warn you, do not leave the safety of our home, because once you do, I can no longer protect you. I need to think about what to do. Stay here, and do not leave." With that he trotted off.
The mothers deciding since there leader had deemed her to be a person that would not harm them, decided to go back to work fetching dinner, and left there cubs with her.
Soon the caves started to become over shadowed by the dusk that set it. Since night was coming, the air started to become chilled, and the wind picked up it's pace. The daily work was done for the wolfe pack, and the mothers started to call there children to come home, they reluctently left. So, alone she sat, but not for long. The white wolfe came to her again. " It is becoming cold, and if you stay here you will become sick. Come with me." He started off towards the largest of the caves, she quitely got up and followed.
Once they reached the mouth of the cave he turned to her, " This is my home, you are welcome to stay with us as long as you wish, but you must obey and follow our rules, and ways. Do you agree to obide with them?" " How can I agree to follow something when I have no idea what it is?" "You will know soon enough, but you can not enter my home unless you agree. " So reluctently she agreed. As they enterd his cave she felt a sence of peace that she had not felt sence the women had come to her. Except this peace was different. It was stronger here, then any were, and it engulfed her. Called her to come home.. She could hear the voice, oh such a voice, calling her, telling her to come home. Quickly she shook her head, and told her self that she was so tired that she was starting to dream, even while she was awake and on her feet. The wolfe was looking at her with eyes of understanding. " Are you ok child?" "Yes, yes i'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" " Oh, no reason my child, just mere curiosity. Beacuse you see, this cave is different from all the other caves as you will soon find out, and It might have a strange effect on you." "No, really. I'm fine. Couldn't be better." "if you say so." He walked over to the side of the cave and blew against the wall, and the whole cave became a lit with tourches. The girl just stood there amazed.
It wasn't till later on that night, they had a chance to talk. They were sitting around the fire. The wolf staying on his bed, and the girl keeping warm by the fire. They were both content. The girl was starting to drift off to sleep when he spoke. "It is not a surprise that you came. I summond you here. I knew that you were here the moment roseilinda brought you to this land." The girl sat there quitely, processing this new information threw her head so that it all made sence. " Roselinda? My angel? That's her name?" "Yes, your guardian angel, that's her name, but you may not call her that." "Why can't I call her by her name?" She asked surprised! " Because only people like us, may call her by her proper titile." "Oh...." Her voice trailed off hurt. They didn't consider her one of there kind.. How can this be? Didn't I have power before to take the stairs and bring them back? How can they not consider me one of them? As if he had read her mind he said " You are human. Even though you have been given the speciale privialge to be here, this does not make you belong to this world. Since you were born a human, you remain a human, and will die a human. Do not be hurt by these words. It is just a fact of life. I am sorry." His voice held the comft that her soul needed to be calmed. It's ok, I understand. Can you tell me why I have been brought here? Why did you summon me? " He was quite for a moment, then saying "My child, I am sorry, but I can not tell you any thing more. It is not the right time. It is not the right time now, just like it wasn't the righ ttime in the stair way. It will all be revealed to you soon enought, be patient." "So it was you that I heard when I was on the stairs!!" She exclaimed. "Yes that was me, but now, before you start asking so many questions that I am not allowed to answer yet, I must be going to sleep. Good night child." Dissipointment was written all over her face, and was laced in her voice as she said good night. Laying down on the mat that had been provided to her, she allowed the sleepiness to swollow her, and the dreams to take over.
