In August of 1987, little Lilian was transported par avion over the pacific ocean. Well. She was pretty happy on the flight - no motion sickness for lilian! in fact, I think she spent most of the time trying to keep others awake on the (what?) 15 hour flight....

So Lilian came to live in Vancouver along with the rest of her family. she went to ESL for half a year or so and switched into regular school at the end of Grade 4. Lilian liked her school - Southlands Elementary - even though i think she was rather confused most of the time. ESL was one thing, actually communicating in english was really (unfortunately) quite another. Then again, her bad ear probably had something to do with it too....
