About Me Hi, I am Lilhonda a.k.a. accordGirL. I'm a 28 year old girly, that takes pride in her car. I love my car and take good care of it. I wash my Accord once a week (at least I try) or when ever it needs it. I wash it whenever I can in the winter time. I really hate it when you wash your car, and then BAM the next day or a few hours later it starts to rain. I don't know of many Girl's that are into the customizing, and the Racing scene. I am one of them Girl's that takes her car to the track and races it. I have my oil changed every 3,000 to 3,500 miles. I would do it myself, but then I might forget when it needs it. I have some what of a bad memory. Plus since my car is lowered I can't get it up on the ramps. So I have Honda do it for me (they leave me these cool little reminders in my upper corner of my window). I'm not afrade of getting dirty it all washes off with a little soap and water. Read my profile, things I like, my first car, and what ever else that comes to mind, and don't forget to check out my time slips. =)
My First Car I got my first car when I was 17 in March of 1994. My first car was a red 1978 Ford Pinto hatchback, 2.8L 4 cylinder, automatic, in good shape. I can't say much for the car now because, who has it now just trashed it. Dents everywhere and a new fender and driver door. But for the most part it was a good car. I took pride in my first car and, to everyone it was nothing but a junker, not to me I was going to fix it up. I learned a lot more about cars that way (meaning parts), since it was an older car stuff would go wrong and I would have to replace something. I replaced quite a few parts except the engine (I got it with a rebuild so I didn't have to replace that), but i did have to replace the alternatior, regulatior, starter (it really didn't need it), $40 dollar spark plug wires (what a rip, I didn't even need them), some other things that I don't remember. I did need new shocks and a muffler but, I figured I could do without. I don't know what I would do if it was quiet I was so use to it being loud and making alarms go off as I drove by. I drove it for a while, then in 1997 I gave it away because, it was running on three cylinders but, all it needed was a $15 dollar part and it would have been fine, oh well. I never got any tickets in it, probably because, it was almost always in the shop. I did drive it hard but, I like to race what can I say (and I would race people in it). Quick for a little Pinto. =)
Dream Car
Well I don't know if you have read the artical from the October 2000 issue of Super Street Page 52. There artical "The Honda AC-R" has me all over it. From the Purple paint of the exterior, to the purple high lights of the Interior, the Honda Accord Coupe Type R (AC-R) is the perfect dream car for me (other then the Nissan Skyline). It runs the quarter mile (1/4) in 14.1 seconds. Does 0-60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Its one worthy V6 automatic in my book. Some of my favorites about it is the White gauge faces with the purple numbers on them, and the DuPont Chromoalusion Absolute Purple paint. This is just one car that is set apart from all others. And some people thought a Import Family car can't be fast. To bad this 300 HP accord V6 is only a concept car. Now all they have to do is start to put it into production and I will be happy. =) I will try and post some pictures of it sometime really soon so all of you can drool over it too. The picture is from Super Street Magazine.
Some of the Gifs and Backgrounds I got from Draac.Com so if you would like to have them please go there and check them out for your self. The other backgrounds I made myself.
