| In summary! Chokurei sandwiches can be used in a variety of different situations, not just for healing on a personal level, but also on a global level. Experiment and practice in all sorts of situations. A good exercise is to set up a healing sandwich for a particular situation that needs positive resolution. Some possible situations that you may choose to work with are: 1. war 2. natural disasters such as floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, mud slides, Tsunamis etc�. 3. finding lost people 4. hostage situations 5. keeping people safe in questionable circumstances like firefighters fighting vast forest fires 6. to soothe global unrest There are many other possibilities for you to work with � not just as an exercise to develop your healing skills, but in a very real way as a healer who cares about people and the world you live in. This is what is expected from those of you who have gone on to Reiki Second Degree, because your caring is such that you want to make a positive difference! You may feel that you are only one small person, but you are part of a network of healers and lightworkers who all work on this larger global scale, as well as the personal level with individual souls. Together we work to bring about peace, light, love and healing � this is part of the responsibility we embrace as healers. Use the media � do not let the media use you! Often when we set up healings for global events such as I have listed above, our information comes through the media, TV and newspapers. Bear in mind that the media often tends to leave out important information that often creates a story that is viewed from a specific, perhaps biased, angle. They will always portray a �goody� and a �baddy�. This means when you are setting up healings and sending them out, that you need to take a step back and look at the whole picture. This is not so much applicable when dealing with natural disasters, as they are not man- made. However, when we begin to look at setting up and sending healing sandwiches for wars or global unrest, we need to be careful in how we phrase the healings. For example, we need to look at setting up healings that embrace world peace and not place one country�s importance above another, or one race of people above another. All are equal and the outcome has to be for the good of all, not just some. In the quest for global peace we have to work with the leaders of all countries who are involved in unrest, terrorism and warfare. The old expression �it takes two to tango� is applicable here � there is always an action and re-action. Responsibility has to be taken on both sides of the coin. The old impulse to retaliate has to be replaced with something better for all concerned if we are to continue instead of blowing our planet to pieces. This requires us, as healers, to see the bigger picture and to focus on the end result and to send healing accordingly. For example, if an act of terrorism or war is perpetrated, we don�t set up healings for one country to be annihilated. Step back to view the bigger picture � we know that going to war and retaliating will result in the loss of innocent lives, of the lives of those who are not directly involved, of women and children and men who do not agree with what their leaders have done. Thus we set up healing to find a peaceful resolution, for leaders to come to understand that war is not the way that leads to a bright and peaceful future. When setting up healing in these sorts of situations we need to send out a healing sandwich that includes all the symbols. Chokurei-Seheki-Honshazeshonen-Chokurei-Tamarasha-Chokurei The Chokurei is the bat and ball of the energy being sent out in the healing sandwich. The Seheki is needed to bring healing on a mental level � to speak to the higher self of all those involved and to create a mindset that places the highest good of all as it�s goal. The Seheki activates the God within each of us. The Honshazeshonen is required because it is over distance and time. The Tamarasha is needed to bring balance and ground the energy which brings overall stability. Many healers simply send out the healing sandwich and ask that the outcome be for the highest good of all, leaving it to divine sources to direct the energy and use it where it is needed most. Others prefer to send the symbols out with spoken words or thoughts, which is a powerful combination. If you do the latter then ask for a peaceful resolution to be found, ask for a change in consciousness of all those involved in order to bring about a peaceful solution. Do not set up healings that ask for one army or country to be annihilated � that is not for the highest good. We are neither judge, nor jury, nor executioners � we are healers! |
