THE SEHEKI SYMBOL
This is is the second symbol learnt in Reiki Second Degree. It is pronounced say hay kee.

What is the Seheki symbol used for?
The Seheki symbol is used to activate healing on an emotional or mental level. Therefore it is commonly used for people who are highly stressed and under great tension, those who have many worries and are under great emotional/mental strain.

It is also appropriate for those suffering from depression, fears, phobias, neuroses, agoraphobia, those who are feeling persecuted, those who feel they have fallen into a victim role, those who feel that they are unworthy, those with a negative self image, or a negative body image.

It is extremely useful in situations where people feel that everything is getting on top of them, and when they feel persecuted, when they feel everything is going wrong and have become trapped in a negative frame of mind.

It helps to change how they feel and think about themselves, their abilities and the world around them in a positive way. This is the primary level on which this symbol brings healing the self, for how we feel about ourselves is reflected in the world around us, including other people and how they react to us. We tend to draw negative situations to us if we are in that negative mind frame. So if we want to make a positive change and bring about healing on this mental/emotional level, we work with the Seheki symbol.

I must stress at this point that it is
not possible to control someone with this symbol. It is not a form of mind control and cannot be used as such. This symbol is for healing purposes and is to set up for the highest good and the best possible outcome for the recipient of the healing. As healers, we request this when using this symbol. It is not what we think is best for some, it is what is best for them.

When using this symbol, the healer may remain seated with hands on the head in the three positions* or they may just sit with hands on the one position that they find most comfortable. *(please refer to photos of hand positions)

It is not uncommon when doing a Seheki Healing to remain with hands on the head for half an hour to an hour. If this type of healing is what is needed, it is often handy to have another healer working on the rest of the body leaving one free to concentrate on the mental healing.

Affirmations to use with the Seheki.
During this time you may activate a
Chokurei Seheki Chokurei  sandwich and allow the energy to flow. Sometimes you may feel guided to implant positive affirmations that are significant to the person being healed. For example you may want to use some of the following

1. You are a worthy and capable being.
2. You are a beautiful and loveable being.
3. You grow stronger every day.
4. You deserve to love, learn and grow.
5. You can effectively assert your feelings and needs.
6. The divinity within you will lead you to health and happiness.
7. You may allow others to support you.
8. Your talents continue to grow.
9. You are a creative and constructive being.
10. Allow yourself to choose spontaneity and freedom.
11.  Grow towards the light.
12.   Let go and trust in the Universe.

The above affirmations are fairly all embracing and certainly there are many that may be more applicable to the person you are healing. The point is that they are positive and nurturing.

They may also be given to the person on a conscious level, and you may discuss an appropriate affirmation together and perhaps write one or two down to work with. Many people work with positive affirmations on a daily basis with great success.

Holidays for stress using the Seheki.
If the person having the healing is stressed or emotionally strung out, you may take them subconsciously on a holiday using the Seheki symbol .

To do this, place your hands on their head and use the Chokurei-Seheki-Chokurei sandwich to connect with them telepathically and in your mind, ask them where they would like to go on a holiday the beach, the mountains, the snow, horse-riding, fishing etc. Listen for the reply or take note of what you see you may be shown snowfields with people skiing or people sunbathing on a beautiful sunny beach etc.
