The Velde Protectorate
A Traveller Campaign
Traveller Aid Society Journal, year 1120.
Located coreward from the Spinward Marches, the Velde Protectorate occupies a portion of the sector between the Zhodani Consolate and the Vargr Extants. Currently consisting of four subsectors, the Protectorate represents a highly technological society, roughly equivalent of the Imperium in both technological capacity and military might.
The Velde Protectorate is a legacy in contradictions. While less than fourty years old, it possess a rich and vibrant culture. It is a place of three uniquely diverse cultures of equality yet as the same time there is a strong anti-Zhodani bias. There is a high level of education, arts, and science yet at the same time it is a state at war.
The Protectorate is composed of approximately 50% Humaniti (45% of Vilani blood, 35% of Solomani blood, 20% of Zhodani blood), 33% Vargr, and 16% Aslan. The standard technological level for the Protectorate is higher than Imperial standard, hovering around technological level 12. In addition, there is no Scout corps at this time.
