The Power of Forgiveness
"If they shall confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers with their trespass which they trespassed against me and that also they have walked contrary unto me and that I also have walked contrary unto them and have brought them into the hands of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity, then will I remember my covenant." Leviticus 26:40-42 This is a very profound statement by God, "I will remember my covenant." God doesnt break His covenants nor will He lie. The reality is that it is impossible for God to lie. When God speaks it comes into being no matter what he says it will come to pass. When He said it that He has made a covenant of peace with you, me or anyone willing to confess Jesus Christ of Nazareth as Lord and Savior, then is what He means. There are no loopholes in Gods way of doing things; His justice is sure and not blind. God is forever merciful; His kindness toward man is beyond any comprehension. If God says this is yours, He means it that is all there is to it. So why complicate such a simple salvation into very complicated rules and regulations. When you became a child of God, He said we are going to finish a work; we are going to be able to accomplish all that He has for us. Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 Therefore say, "God your chastisements are okay." We can look at ourselves and judge ourselves. Am I walking in faith? Can I can look at myself and say, "God somethings wrong, its not flowing. Now God, am I right, am I acting according to your word? Am I operating according to faith? We can easily any one of us get off into pride, and begin to disregard the chastening of the Lord; unless the Christian is in a continual state of alert. Every believer must be willing to acknowledge that sin is what separated him or her from the covenants of God in the beginning. When a person sins or fails to forgive others of sins then remains to continue to separate people from the blessings of God. It is an on going, continual daily attitude of prayer and worship seeking repentance from those little things that easily draw our attention away from the presence of God. All too often Christians find themselves wondering where God is in a situation; but with wisdom, you can gain understanding to back off and say, "God where did I miss you?" For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives." If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten? But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons. Hebrews 12:6-8 The Bible tells us to admit or confess our sins See when you were born again it required repentance. Theres no true new birth without repentance. Unless youre sorry for your sin, there is no new birth. Everyone must submit and humble himself or herself before God, to receive the new birth. In order to complete the restoration of the word of God, a person must admit that they are wrong and God is right. Every person thinks that he or she is right in their own eyes, but the word of God says, you first must admit that youve been operating by your own works then He will provide His covenant to you and all the blessings will begin to flow in your life again. Therefore, we as sons and daughters will fall into chastisement from time to time... No its not fun when were going through it because it requires something from us. It requires us to admit that God is God and that He alone is in control of our life, and that I do it His way or no way at all. It doesnt matter how far down the road of rebellion you go, and believe me Ive met a lot of people whove gone all the way and yet they finally get to the point where they admit that theyre doing it backwards and say, "God you do it this time." I havewatched God restore, I have watched Him pick people up. I have watched the dirt of the world fall off them as the Spirit of God begins to move again in their life. It doesnt matter how far down you go. He says at any point, you can turn to God and say, "God you be God. Im tired of being god in my life. Im tired of having idols that Im worshiping. I want you to be my God. I want to reverence this sanctuary in your presence. I want you present in my life. I want all the blessings that you have promised me." "For they verily for a few days chastened, chastened us after their own pleasure but He for our profit that we might be partakers of His holiness." Hebrews 12:10 We have His holiness, His life flowing through each of us that are children of the Most high God. It is not your Faith, righteousness, or good works; but it is only by His own holiness that begins your perfection and faith. Moreover, it is Him only that is righteous and His sacrifice that you are complete in faith and perfect in Him. "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness." Hebrews 12:10 Faith will rise in your heart... Now you have turned back to God in submission to Him remembering the blood, remembering His covenant of blood that He has with you. You should never get far away from Jesus Christ but if you come into a doctrine that doesnt include Him, you better get back to Jesus, because youve gotten off into something thats not God. It is Jesus Christ and He crucified. That is our covenant with God. His blood covers us from all sin. His grace, even though we dont deserve it, allows us to move forward. You will begin to find joy and peace when you exercise faith in God as a matter of your will. Christians live and walk from faith to faith. You will get one victory by your faith and step to the next level of faith. Always looking ahead to God for what you will be going to do next. God will always stretch that step of faith a little bit further so it takes a little more than what you can do as a man to step through. But every time you step it in faith, Hell bless you. You will enter into that rest and when you take those steps, you will find yourself leaping by faith. He will lift you up and make even in the smallest details of your life become stable. You will be able stand even it the whole world says it is impossible for you. God will make sure that you stand and be there to lift you up if you slip. "Wherefore, lift up your hands which hang down and the feeble knee and make straight paths for you r feet lest that which is lame be turned out of the way but let it rather be healed." Hebrews 12:13 Submit to the word of God. Let it rather be healed. Dont fight it. Say, "God its your will for me to have blessings in my life. Not by my power but by Your power, I am going to rest. Heal it. Let it rather be healed." In other words, its in your power to stop it from being healed. Pride, Stubbornness, Rebellion, "Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14 Without that Spirit of life flowing through you, you will not see God. Nobody can see God or even can received by Him, by his or her own good works but fellowship with God is only possible believing in by His grace. A person must have faith in the shed blood of Jesus, if this is not the case, then it is impossible to see the Lord. That is because there has not been any reformation, nor has there been any change in that person. Truthfully, a mere outward appearance of good is not acceptable to God; God would rather take a person that is all messed up and dwell in his or her heart. He then will change that person willingly from within, transforming that person into the Glory of God Almighty. "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God." Hebrews 12:15 How can you fail with unmerited favor? By saying, I dont want it. I want to do it my way. "Lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you and by it many be defiled." Hebrews 12:15 It is clear see, that to be chastened of the Lord is to put you in action a walk of faith, a walk of grace, a walk of liberty, a walk of peace, in this true holiness lies and begins to flow with you, and flows to others through you. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 Everything you ever wanted to be, you are righteous by faith, because you let God be God. Written By: Will Hart 10/14/02
And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us. Then we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as God exhorting through us, we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For He has made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:18-21 MKJV)
