~*~ Chapter 81 ~*~
REDDING, CA –THE ANGEL’S HOUSE – JUL. 24th, 2002 – WEDNESDAY
“Ok. Now I’m freaking out.” Kirstin ran from the backyard of Ashley’s house to the kitchen.
“What’s going on?” Ashley saw Kirstin storm into the kitchen.
“The flowers! The flower guys are late! They said 4 p.m. and it’s 4:15 already.”
“So, they are 15 minutes late and you’re already freaking out?” Ashley smiled.
“Oh, I’m sorry if the flowers for our wedding mean more to me than to you, Ash.” Kirstin stopped right in front of him and placed both her hands on her hips “But yes, I’m freaking out over a 15 minute delay. Do you have any idea that we’re getting married in 3 days? I don’t think you do, because if you did, you would be freaking out just as I am. The flowers are one of the most important things when it comes to the wedding decoration. Did you know that? And did you know that this 15 minute delay may postpone a lot of things on the preparation, I mean… What?” Kirstin asked harshly.
“Nothing.” Ashley couldn’t keep the smile out of his face.
“What?” Kirstin insisted on the harsh tone.
“It’s just that… you’re so cute when you’re all preoccupied.” Ashley got closer to her and wrapped her arms around her waist.
“Oh, shut up.” Kirstin hit him in the arm.
“Ouch, that really hurt!” Ashley rubbed the area where she had hit.
“Good, that’s what I was going for. Pain.” Kirstin was starting to calm down a little.
“K, stop worrying. Everything is gonna be just fine! It’s just 15 minutes.”
“No! Now it’s almost 20 and I still don’t see them coming in!”
“Kirstin, it’s not like they’re an hour late! Calm down. Maybe they hit traffic or something.”
“Traffic? In Redding? Really unlikely.”
“Maybe they are just late. Calm down, please.” Ashley hugged her.
“But…” Kirstin started but got cut off.
“No buts. Forget about it.” Ashley kissed her passionately on the lips.
“Urgh…” Kirstin said immediately after they broke off “I hate that.”
“You hate my kiss?” Ashley raised his brows in amazement.
“Not that. I hate the power your kiss has on me.”
“Oh, that sounds better.” Ashley smiled “Come on, let’s go upstairs.”
“I can’t, the flowers…”
“K!” Ashley cut her off again “Upstairs now! I have something to say and show to you.”
“Can’t it wait? The flowers…”
“Leave the flowers for Grace and Gloria to deal with. They are doing an excellent job anyways.”
“But…” this time Kirstin got cut off by Ashley’s passionate kiss “Urgh! Come on, let’s go upstairs, you annoying boy!”
Ashley smiled, took his hand on hers and they walked to his room.
“Ok.” Ashley said, closing the door behind her.
“What?” Kirstin asked confused.
“Wait a sec.” Ashley went to his dresser and got something that was on it “Here.”
“What is it?” Kirstin asked before getting the American Airlines envelope “Airplane tickets?” Kirstin frowned.
“I don’t know if you know, but when you get married, you also get a honey moon.” Ashley joked about it.
“Shit! I forgot!” Kirstin couldn’t believe she had forgotten about the honey moon “How stupid am I?”
“Pretty stupid.” Ashley answered.
“Ashley Angel!” Kirstin exclaimed.
“Just joking, baby.” he pecked her lips “It’s normal that you forgot. You are so worried about the wedding that you didn’t have the time to think about the honey moon. And I figured you wouldn’t. So I decided to take care of that myself. Mainly because it’s not that difficult. You just pick a place and go to a travel agency. I did it last month.”
“And only now you’re telling me?”
“I just got the tickets. I wanted to surprise you.”
“Well, you surely caught me off guard. I had no idea.”
“Good. Now open it!” Ashley wanted to see what Kirstin thought about his choice of destination.
“Ok.” Kirstin opened one of the tickets “Venice?” Kirstin raised her voice a little.
“Did you like it?” Ashley didn’t know if she’d like it, because they never discussed it.
“If I liked Venice being our honey moon city?” Kirstin sounded excited “How could I not like it?” Ashley breathed in relief “Oh, my God, Ash!” Kirstin jumped on him and he grabbed her by the hips.
“You liked it that much, huh?” Ashley smiled at her.
“Of course! It seems to be so romantic there! Oh, Ash, thank you so much!” she still had her legs around his waist when she kissed him hard on the mouth.
“I’m glad you like it that much.” Ashley said when they broke apart.
“I did. Actually...” Kirstin was now standing on her own feet “Your mother is not home. What do you…”
“Hm…” Ashley cut her off “I like where you’re going with this.”
“Oh, you do, don’t you?” Kirstin pecked his neck.
“Very much so.” Ashley kissed her neck and they both collapsed onto the bed.
