NEW YORK CITY, NY – HOTEL – JAN. 15TH, 2001
Kirstin had her eyes closed. She frowned. She woke up to the sound of a soft melody. What was that? It sounded like it was right beside her. She rubbed her eyes and opened them. All she saw was the room’s curtains. But the guitar sound was still there. What was that? She then looked the other way to find Ashley sitting right beside her in bed, playing his guitar.
“What’s going on?” Kirstin looked at Ashley playing his guitar, expecting an answer to all that. But he didn’t give her one. He just kept playing his guitar. This great, soft melody. Kirstin felt embraced by him at that moment. She closed her eyes for a while, just when Ashley started singing.

Kirstin still had her eyes closed, but this time, tears were falling from it. She then opened her eyes to look at Ashley. He was playing, but also had tears falling down his cheeks. She closed her eyes when Ashley started singing again.

Kirstin kept her eyes shut until the melody stopped. It took a while for her to open it up again. When she did, she saw Ashley’s face right in front of hers, separated only by some inches. They didn’t say anything. Each one knew exactly what the other one was thinking. Both still had the tears down their cheeks. Ashley wiped away Kirstin’s tears with his thumb. Kirstin did the same with Ashley’s tears.
“I think I owe you some explanation here. I just… wake you up singing you a song and then tell nothing? Well, what I…” Ashley stopped talking when Kirstin placed her index finger over his lips.
“Say no more.” Kirstin then pulled him over her by his neck and kissed him passionately.
