~*~ Chapter 44 ~*~
NEW YORK CITY, NY – HOTEL – JAN. 15TH, 2001
Kirstin’s head is rested on the pillow and Ashley was lying on top of her. While kissing him, Kirstin’s hand caressed his back. Ashley’s tongue parted Kirstin’s lips, as she moaned in pleasure. Ashley’s hand was under Kirstin’s top, massaging her belly. She then suddenly stopped and pulled back from the kiss. She opened her eyes to find Ashley’s with pure desire. She smiled big. He did too. She pulled him back to her and they started making out again, never leaving each other’s mouth. After a couple of minutes, Ashley pulled back just to get rid of his shirt, but returned to Kirstin’s mouth as soon as his shirt fell on the floor. When he was working on Kirstin’s bra, she pulled him back again.
“Ash…” she said, getting herself up on the bed “We just…”
“Say no more.” Ashley said and smiled to her, as she did the same. He did knew her too well, she was amazed “I know what you’re thinking.”
“Oh, you do, don’t you?” Kirstin smirked at him as he placed himself right in front of her.
“Yep. We just… started it. There’s gonna be all the time in the world for us to do this. Am I right?” Ashley smirked at her and she just shook her head.
“What do you think?”
“I know I am right. And you are right too. There’s gonna be all the time in the world for us to do this, because I’m not letting you go anymore. You’ve had your time to go wild and test a lot of guys. Now you’re mine. Only mine.” he grabbed her and kissed her hard on the lips.
“That’s all I wanna be.” she smiled when they pulled back. They stayed hugged for a while “Was that your stomach?” Kirstin asked when she heard a strange noise.
“Yeah…” Ashley chuckled “Sorry, but I’ve been up since 5 choosing the perfect song and I haven’t eaten since.” Kirstin smiled sweetly.
“What time is it?” she asked and Ashley looked at his wristwatch.
“10:30.”
“10:30? Oh My God!!! I missed classes!”
“Relax. I’m sure they’ll understand when you explain it to then.”
“Yeah…” Kirstin looked down “Oh My God! I’m still wearing the ring!” she said right before trying to get it off her finger.
“No.” Ashley stopped her “Please, let me?” he looked at her and she nodded. He slowly took if off not to hurt her.
“What am I gonna do with this?” she asked when Ashley gave her the ring.
“Do you think you’ll ever wear this again?” Ashley looked down, kind of sad.
“Ash, look at me.” she pulled his chin up “Never again.” she answered him seriously and kissed him lightly on the lips.
“Then, can I make this go away?” he asked.
“Please, do.” she answered. The second she gave him permission to make the ring go away, he got up, opened the window and threw the ring away.
“What did you do?” Kirstin got up in time to see the ring collapse on the sidewalk.
“Well, you said you didn’t want it, so I just threw it away. Someone will find it and make some good money with it.”
“Ash!” Kirstin looked at him but couldn’t be serious “That was good.” she pecked him on the lips.
“So… are we gonna eat or what? Didn’t you hear my stomach, woman?” Ashley put both his hands on his waist and did this voice imitating a caveman.
“Oh, you didn’t call me woman, did you?” Kirstin played serious.
“Oh, yes I did.” Ashley still had the caveman pose on.
“Don’t you ever do that again, Angel!” Kirstin was still serious and waked away from him.
“Oh, sorry, K. I was just kidding and…” he said, going after her and placing his hand on her hips. He turned her over to see her smiling “Oh, you!”
“You really thought I was mad at that? I knew you were joking!” Kirstin laughed.
“God, I missed your laughter!” he looked passionately at her. Kirstin felt great. How could she have lived apart from him all this time?
“Let’s go eat.” she said, kissing his neck and pulling him from his wrist out the door.
Downstairs, they got their breakfast from the buffet and sat on a table. Kirstin was kind of quiet. Ashley sensed something wasn’t right.
“K, what’s the problem?”
“Tom. I’m going home now and what if he hasn’t left? I’m pretty sure he’ll still be there.” Kirstin took a sip from her juice.
“I’m going with you.” Ashley informed.
“Oh, you don’t have too. You need to work.”
“No, I don’t. We came to New York just for the baseball thing. We’re staying until Friday, but we got no appointments.”
“Oh…” Kirstin said after taking a bit from her bread.
“So, I’m coming with you.”
“Are you sure, Ash? Won’t it be… weird?”
“I don’t think so. Weird would be if you got there by yourself and he was still there. You can’t take him out of your house on your own.”
“Yeah… I’ll need you.” she grinned at him. He grinned back at her.
“So, I’m going with you.”
“Ash, but you can not fight him. Ok? I’m tired of all this bull shit between you too. Now that I’m over Tom, I want this fight over with too, alright?”
“Ok.”
“Good.”
They finished their breakfast and were heading out of the hotel when they bumped into Erik and Trevor on their way out.
“Yo, Kirstin!” Trevor said, hugging her already “How have you been girl?”
“Well… Not too good. But now I’m fine.” she said, looking at Ashley and taking his hands on hers.
“Good.” Trevor smiled at her and she did the same at him.
“Hello, Kirstin.” Erik said, kissing her on the cheek.
“Hey, Erik. How are you?” she asked politely.
“Good. Good.” Erik answered and Kirstin smirked.
“Well, if you excuse me, we gotta go solve some things. If you need me, call me on my cell, alright?” Ashley shook hands with Trevor and Erik and he and Kirstin got out of the hotel.
They headed to the parking lot where Kirstin had parked her car and they trailed to Kirstin’s loft. The ride was kind of quiet, mostly because Kirstin was really nervous. She didn’t know how she’d feel if Tom was still there. What would she say? What would he say? What if he tried something?
NEW YORK CITY, NY – KIRSTIN AND TOM’S LOFT –
JAN. 16TH, 2001
In the elevator, Kirstin was getting nervous by the floor. She was playing like crazy with her fingers. Ashley noticed that and kindly took Kirstin’s hand in his so she’d stop worrying about it. With the other hand, she pressed her belly. Her stomach hurt.
When they finally got to Kirstin’s floor, Ashley got out of it first and he almost had to drag Kirstin out of it. When they got to the door, she handed him the keys. She couldn’t open the doors. So Ashley did it. As soon as the door opened, Ashley and Kirstin could see Tom sitting there, on one of Kirstin’s couch. He abruptly stood up when he noticed them there.
